This reminds me of my african grey that passed away. Every morning she would say "good morning" to me and my mom and cackle at my mom. She would say "grandma... Fat grandma" then laughs. Ahhh good times. I still miss you coco
Awww, my favorite time of day is when I get our Cape Parrot from her sleep cage in the morning! The first thing she does when we leave her room is say, “Alexa,” because she wants some music to get our day rolling!❤
I love it. She says "Good morning to Apollo" and opens the cage. He hops onto her hand and the first think he says to start his day is "Let's go". Apollo could be a motivational instructor.
My mom told me the story of her grandma, my great grandma (who I never met) had a parakeet... Every morning she'd say godd morning Tippy. Of course the bird would answer back... Good morning Tippy.... My great grandma died.... Sometime in the 50's... My mom was the one who found her... Sad... The bird all of a sudden, got depressed, and died too... One of the saddest things I've ever heard.... It was bonded to my great grandmother, and when she was gone, it didn't want to live anymore... ☹😞
Mine is grumpy in the morning ... we perch him in the shower stall for his morning ablutions which is probably the worst. He then watches us showering and then by breakfast time he starts talking.
With the bell in April, he heard you jingle the bell when you took the blanket off, and his response was to ring the bell in his cage to say "I can do that too" and then for him to do it again some time later to say " I'm awake let me out" also it's funny how the noises he makes with you vs your lady is interesting
They're wonderful pets and companions but realize they are not exactly cheap (not just talking about the cost of acquiring the bird itself but all the stuff that comes with it) and they require a lot of attention to remain happy and healthy. If you aren't sure that you can devote the required time to that then you're better off just enjoying videos like this one.
@@kh7955 yeah I know all that. At the end of the day I won't be able to afford a parrot what time and money is concerned. Maybe I just keep on watching Apollo videos for therapy purposes
When did Apollo start saying Shrek clearly like that? I had a chuckle when he went back to shrock. Silly boy. Kirby does something similar when I get him out of his outside avery. He just has to chew my fingers. He has done it for nearly as long as we had him. It is annoying and sometimes he can bite a bit too hard.
I have a serious question that just came to mind watching videos of Apollo...has he ever cursed while talking or out of anger? Cause I've seen other gray African macaws swear when they get mad so im curious to see if Apollo does or ever did.
Mine pick up words not by repetition but also how we use it - I said f**k a few times facing the PC but he never said it. The other day I asked him "Charlie did you have a sh*t already" ???. We then heard him repeating again and we laughed so he now keeps on saying it.
