Hallo İnap I came across following sentence 'Den Karneval gibt es seit 1823.' What is this the structure's function _gibt es seit_ here.I really wondered and want to use that structure correctly. Could you help me Tchüss!

Hallo Yigitcan, "...... gibt es seit ....." means something is there since... or something exists since .. "Es gibt ..." basically means "there is .. or there are ....". After "es gibt" you need an accusative object. In your example "den Karneval" is an accusative object. In German, you often find sentences starting with an object, especially if the object has a particular importance/focus on the subject. You could use "Es gibt" for instance like "In meinem Wohnzimmer gibt es eine Couch, einen Tisch und ein Regal." Hope I could clarify it well enough ☺️
