It’s not moving slow at all actually, at landing and takeoff the average speed of an A380 is 162 knots which is 205 MPH. And during cruising altitude the average speed is around 590-600 MPH.
It’s not slow at all, it’s just big. So it looks low and slow, when it is actually higher and fast. It is landing in this video however, meaning that it is a bit slower than it is at cruising altitude
It's called perspective, the bigger the object the slower it looks even at very high speeds. If it was as small as a car (close to jet engine size) it'll look much faster. This behemoth in this video is going faster than most cars at their top speed, just to stay afloat 300 feet above ground.
Same with 747’s. I love them both 🥰 I live in the Luke AFB direct flight path. The F-35’s roaring over my house never gets old. Seen some pretty cool planes over the years.

RWY25 isn’t used too often, only when there’s a strong crosswind. But when it is, you can get some stunning views from this spot. Hope you find it ok, enjoy!

@@RandJ Cool, but I can't remember asking, plus there is no way it was lower because that's the closest you can get to a plane at SYD, so you probably did the same thing, plus it looks a lot smaller and higher in videos than in real life.
