the stall speed being only 70 kts for this thing is crazy

Your biggest mistake is airspeed. You should not be landing any plane over 100,000 lbs, let alone a 1,250,000lb aircraft at 100kts IAS. Your speed should not go below 150kts IAS. Now, since this was a short runway test then you shouldn't be landing anywhere below 130kts.
