Love your new system! I went back to a Happy Planner Dashboard layout because I didn't have the time to do a bullet journal setup every week with school and it allows me to have school and home stuff all in one spot with minimal adjustments.
If you restring the closure patch so that the majority of the string is on the inside of the patch ( the opposite of how it’s stringed now) you can use the string on the inside to put your pen. As it’s strung now, the pen is supposed to go on the outside of the patch in the string. I realize this doesn’t translate well but the patch closure is the pen holder. If you reverse the string, you can use it the way you want.
for the floppiness, you could order some plastic page lifters. cloth and paper may have some. i ordered from them a while back but haven't been in a rings planner for a couple years. you can also get folders and pockets for a 6ring planner there too.
Day designer A5 binder is one of my favorite binders! But also, Sojourner is doing ring covers. I haven’t checked it out yet, but if you want a better option, there are lots out there.
You’ve got this! I’m excited for you! I’m using my daily as a weekly. And if I need more notes space, I used the dot grid that passion planner has for free and I use it as a tip in. Duke says “Hi”! 😊
I have the same weekly PP and it’s for my memory journal! You know I LOVE my PP dailies because it’s so customizable. The SOIP gives tons of writing room! I look forward to seeing how you use your new set up.
Ooh, I am actually intrigued by the floppiness -- can you fold the cover all the way back and behind so you can just have one page-width taking up space on the desk? (Like you can with a spiral-bound planner?) I'm using a Filofax Clipbook right now so I can fold it over, but it would be good to know if there are other options!
Print and cut! Which was hell because my paper trimmer is broken so I did it with scissors 🫠 I love it too but I really need it to not be floppy and pocketless!
