Wow! Your A6/CP Petite disc journey has been very similar to mine. Levenger made a 4x6 notebook years ago: it was part of their Vivacious line, so the cover was in a bright orange with black dots on it. I pulled it out last year for an on-the-go and found just a handful of remaining inserts. I purchased a set of 4x6 grid index cards from Staples for notes pages, and started purchasing printable A6 inserts from various creators. The orange cover was too bright so I discovered C&P's now-discontinued clear sticker album covers. I too have been re-purposing old pre-punched dividers and, as you mentioned, they did stuck out past the C&P covers (but were a good fit in the Levenger notebook cover). I was excited when C&P announced their CP Petite line and also signed up for their subscription box. For anyone interested, I am also rediscovering my Levenger Compact planner. This is a size that they only recently revived in the last year or 2, so they do have basic inserts and divider tabs you can buy from them. But I've been purchasing printable inserts and repurposing HP Mini dashboards for some interest. I have several different disc punches, but my favorite and most used is a portable punch from Rollabind PBS 500 that is probably about 15-20 years old now. (Yes, I started using discs YEARS before Happy Planner made them fun). It only cuts through a couple of pages at a time, but that is usually all I need. The punch has markings for 6" pages so that's what I use for my A6/CP Petite. (I adhered washi tape to mark off lines for half-letter and compact size pages because Rollabind used different alignments for their half-letter back in the day.) Other punches in my arsenal: Levenger desk punch for multi-page punching (this was an investment) and the crop-a-dile power punch to get through thick or pliable plastic. Thank you for sharing your journey and your great ideas!
I have the Levenger Compact Softolio on the way and I’m super excited to try that size, coming from personal rings! I also bought the Levenger desk punch a few years ago-it was worth the price!
I'm so glad I ran across your video. I will be ordering a black moterm cover. I just cant swing the $200 for the CP cover and was looking for an alternative.
I love your planner set up. I'm a huge planner-hopper and this video made me want to switch back to discs so badly! But I'm trying to wait because my current system seems to be working lol
This video was SO helpful thank you!! Did your new planner ship?? I’m looking to alleviate the same issue regarding the not planner folding fully back in a cover. Im sure we’d love an update on your new planner :D
Thank you!! I don't think I'll do any videos on nails on this channel, I'm sorry! People don't seem interested in it and there's SO many other awesome channels that are all about nails so I think they're way better than me trying to show how I do my nails lol
Maybe try removing the front cover. I had a similar issue with mini happy planner and b6 moterm cover. Take front cover off and it fit. But love the setup
Thank you so much for sharing. I have been looking for ideas and feedback because I want to create an A6 discbound planner and oddly I’m not finding much available with dividers but lots of creative ways to create your own so thank you for posting that. What do you use to punch your items? I have heard there’s a difference between happy planner puncher, tul, and two other brands I can’t remember. They have difference in length of stem and width of stem. Your planner is beautiful. BRB going to get that clear cover at CP! 😅❤😊
Hi! I am rewatching this video and noticed that you mentioned a good paper for dividers. What is the brand of graphics paper? Also, what platform do you use for the online boot camp?
What punch do you use? I have the happy planner punch but my printed inserts are getting half mushroom holes on the top and bottom. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong
