Have you actually checked the seats will fit because that tunnel looks absolutely enormous! I’m afraid you rather give the impression that you are just making it up as you go along.
@BuilderCreator
@BuilderCreator 3 года назад
Back a handful of episodes ago, I talked about building the seats. They will be molded as part of the tub and the pedals and steering will be adjustable. Yes the tunnel is enormous. (Especially what will be behind the seats.) My entire life is "make it up as I go," I just make up more than the average person. Ha!

Is looking awfully narrow for standard seats. How much space you have between the tunnel and the sides? Are you making custom seats? Amazing work so far though!!!!
@BuilderCreator

Yes, custom seats molded in. the pedals and steering will adjust.

I can relate with your back. Bending over like that is the most painful thing for me. Do you alternate the direction of the fiberglass weave?
@BuilderCreator
@BuilderCreator 3 года назад
These first layers are a bi-directional cloth to create the form. I will now start laying some layers of uni-directional cloth at 45% to build up torsional rigidity.

Hi when the car enters or exits a turn the body of the car will experience a twist or body roll. Do you have any safeguards that these extreme forces will not separate the laminations between the floor and backbone? Thanks and absolutely fantastic work it take a true craftsman and jack of all trades to make a car, much less a super car like you are doing. Great job.

Many more layers to go top and bottom. . . stay tuned.

What kind of seats will you fit when it is done, and what are the plans for interior? I know this is kinda far ahead but from the point of view I got it looks to be quite narrow for the seat area. Do you have any hidden seats somewhere that you have measured up or will you solve that later? Maybe it isn't even narrow, just looked like it from the view we got.
@BuilderCreator
@BuilderCreator 3 года назад
No seat travel. The seats will be fixed with adjustment in the pedals and steering column.

When you put release agent on the aluminum , I understand you will remove aluminum from underneath , then beef up with more fiberglass . Right ? How do you remove the release agent from the fiberglass before adding to it ?
@BuilderCreator
@BuilderCreator 3 года назад
It is water soluble so you can just wash it away. However, for a proper bond of the new lamination you need to scuff sand the surface as well.
