Every time I watch a new one of these videos I find myself more and more inspired. Your expertise and skill is incredible sir. I look forward to seeing this car completed!
I'm so excited to see this car. I think it is one of the coolest things ever. I am impatient as hell I kind of wish it was a Chip Foose show so there was 74 other people working on it behind the scenes and it was done in a week. I really do not wish that I think this is so cool
Have you actually checked the seats will fit because that tunnel looks absolutely enormous! I’m afraid you rather give the impression that you are just making it up as you go along.
Back a handful of episodes ago, I talked about building the seats. They will be molded as part of the tub and the pedals and steering will be adjustable. Yes the tunnel is enormous. (Especially what will be behind the seats.) My entire life is "make it up as I go," I just make up more than the average person. Ha!
pains me to watch you on the ground like that but it does show great strength, would it be possible to lift it at all? Maybe put it back on the rotating holder?
Only people who like quality and detail are subscribed to your channel. We are few and far between because today's world has to be fast and people want it now. No I am not 70 years of age I am a 31 year old Irish man. Who likes quality and detail. You will get to 100k subs eventually but like I said we are few and far between in this face paced world
Is looking awfully narrow for standard seats. How much space you have between the tunnel and the sides? Are you making custom seats? Amazing work so far though!!!!
These first layers are a bi-directional cloth to create the form. I will now start laying some layers of uni-directional cloth at 45% to build up torsional rigidity.
Hi when the car enters or exits a turn the body of the car will experience a twist or body roll. Do you have any safeguards that these extreme forces will not separate the laminations between the floor and backbone? Thanks and absolutely fantastic work it take a true craftsman and jack of all trades to make a car, much less a super car like you are doing. Great job.
What kind of seats will you fit when it is done, and what are the plans for interior? I know this is kinda far ahead but from the point of view I got it looks to be quite narrow for the seat area. Do you have any hidden seats somewhere that you have measured up or will you solve that later? Maybe it isn't even narrow, just looked like it from the view we got.
Looking good indeed ! BTW: you always talk about we...... either you're Royalty that we didn't know of or your son / daughter / wife is giving a hand (or two) when you're working on this wonderful project ?
Would like to have run the driveshaft back through the oil pan from my own bespoke transmission/center diff, but alas I was short a couple million dollars of CNC equipment. Ha!
When you put release agent on the aluminum , I understand you will remove aluminum from underneath , then beef up with more fiberglass . Right ? How do you remove the release agent from the fiberglass before adding to it ?
Most of the reinforcement you will see on the project from here on out will be- 830 g/m 2 Biaxial cloth along with Style 6533 (6 oz) S glass plain weave and Style 6781 (8.9 oz) satin weave for compound curves.
"not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept . . . " -John F Kennedy
True, but what other cars of that class *are* roomy? It seems like having a snug interior is the nature of projects like these. I look forward to their all terrain vehicle though. That one looks like it'll have plenty of space
My brain can't understand people like Mr 'short vidz'. He comes to a very niche video about a freaking homemade 200mph car, and takes the time to comment negatively about the size of the cockpit.
