My mind was just blown!!! This is by far the coolest aquaponics system I have seen. I must try this some day. Look at those beautiful clean healthy roots on those plants!!! Amazing! Gosh it just makes me want to run out and do it in the lawn of my condos hahahaha
He is using industrial chipsom board 8' X 4' x 1', he uses PVC 50mm as frameworks for his 'A' frame Aeroponics (where roots were hanging in the air with mist spraying system and saving on medium plus good aeration to roots), winking bucket with a tomato plant at 2 minutes. he also uses automation system to control water temperature which is extremely crucial in aeroponics system.
Only one Hi..thanks for the information..but when I search the internet for chipsom board all I get is gypsum board..which cannot be used in water.. so please clarify which board is being used am really confused..
hi everyone ,if anyone else needs to find out about aquaponics farming try Proutklarton Surviving Instruction Plan (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my mate got cool results with it.
the plants are started in the seed trays, after the reach transplanting size they are simply inserted in the vertical styrofoam board. The sprayed water is allowing the roots to become wet but not soaking allowing oxygen to let the plant thrive. The water must be super filtered to prevent the fine spray nozzles from getting clogged, however they are only mechanically filtered, not biologically. The purpose is to have the plants use the nitrogen or it wouldnt be an aquaponic system.
I'm not totally sure but it seems that the use plants that have already germinated so they have a health stem be held in place. The stem looks like its held in place with sponge or some other reusable material that is soft yet firm. In regards to the water that really depends on what your goal is. If it is plant production you would typically raise enough fish just to keep a balanced nitrogen cycle going...
I wiuld like to k ow how to get the large (plastic?) walls and also how the filter the solI'd wastes. This is a great aquaponics-aeroponics system. The best part about it is the ability to grow fruiting plants like tomatoes and squash and zucchini. I wonder if they can find a way to do carrots and other root vegetables as well.
... Otherwise if you have fish producing an excess in the Nitrogen cycle you would have to implement a filtration system to remove solid waste and prevent spikes in the cycle. For this system, solid waste is unwanted as they mist the water. Having any solid waste in the water would cause a whole lot of clogging and add redundant maintenance basically.
Plants are staying in without falling out because the holes are drilled at an angle, plus after the roots get big it will balance out even more. I love the idea and i will do it in my greenhouse. I am curious how the water drains and gets back in the tank. Is there a tank underneath each structure or does the water flow to a "gutter" or flows through gravity pull?!
I wondered if that could be done by foam or a piece of starofoam. If it is doing aeroponic then the holes should be covered as the water might splash outside
what holds the plant in the hole? it would be great if there was an english version. i love the verticle design but i cant understand what their saying, lol. how much water does a system this size require? and how many, and what breed of fish? i really love this design !
He said the computer software program controling the system. it control temp and the during of the mist result it take 20 day for the vegi to be on the market safe space and fast process production.
Hello, May I know what the vertical board that has the holes and holds the plants up are made of? Is it styrofoam? But it looks too sturdy than styrofoam that breaks easily, considering the weight of the plants. A reply is most appreciated.
wow that's amazing way of using space , if some one please help me how is he managing solid waste removal in aquaponics its a major problem in combining aquaculture with aeroponics .
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to uncover aquaponics at home try Morundan Total Aquaponics Mastery (just google it ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my buddy got great results with it.
