Really informative! You make everything so easy to understand, taking your time to explain the smallest of things and not hurrying through everything, thank you so much for that. Would love to see you do this for more softwares. Also, I'm an architecture student who knows some Revit, and looking to learn rhino with grasshopper. I went through your channel and saw that there are quite a number of videos there. Can you give me a correct order to watch the videos so that I end up learning rhino and grasshopper, and be able to integrate that with Revit? Thank you
@DesignGoBrr
@DesignGoBrr 3 года назад
I'd suggest starting with AADA10 3-part course series, that will give you the basics in Rhino. Then I would move into AAHF30 Webinar from last year (2020) it was an introduction to grasshopper for beginners. That will give you a basic understanding of Rhino and Grasshopper. Then I'd finish of with AADA20 3-part course that teaches the workflow between Rhino and Revit. Afterwards just jumping into any grasshopper LTH tutorials series video should do the trick.

@DesignGoBrr
@DesignGoBrr 2 года назад
Hi there! Glad to hear that you're enjoying the videos :) Umm since I only had a year or so of training in landscape design - my tutorials within that field would be a bit... limited. But hey - I still added it to my "to do" list, so a video will pop up (eventually)

Hello thank you for nice tutorial. I have a small question, when i offset a surface like in 20.20 it doesnt snap as well as yours, it offsets it in a wrong way why does it happen ?
@DesignGoBrr
@DesignGoBrr 2 года назад
When you run offsetSrf command, it will show you arrows pointing at the Normal direction of the surface. That is what Rhino understands as the "Front direction". If you click on the surface then, the Normals will get flipped and thus the surface will be offset to the other side. Thats how you control the offset direction.

not sure if you are still monitoring this link - your videos are fantastic - just the right amount of explanation and speed. i am wondering which mouse you are using to draw. i have a wireless jelly comb vertical mouse but am very unhappy with the scroll wheel. it does not always work and i am stuck in the middle of a rhino command. not good.
@DesignGoBrr
@DesignGoBrr 11 месяцев назад
Oh I'm not picky about mice at all. These days I use some generic wireless logitech mouse that I bought in a local pc store for like 30 usd or so

Hmm, I get asked this from time to time and the answer kind of stayed the same- not really as I prefer Rhino over Maya for "ready-for-production-design" work.

How do you unwrap this to paint in substance for example. Great work. Subscribed.
@DesignGoBrr
@DesignGoBrr 2 года назад
For architectural models, I'd suggest not bothering with unwrapping. Simply using Box/Surface mapping will do the trick for most cases. I go in more depth about this in AADA25 videos series

Where are you in such a hurry? Tutorial with F1 speed!! And when you are watched by those who do not know English, it's a pretty poor tutorial.
@DesignGoBrr
@DesignGoBrr 3 года назад
When watching a youtube video, you can always go to the bottom right corner - settings icon - speed - choose 0.5x to make things run at your pace.

My speed is 1.5 up. I thought he was slow enough as a tutorial should be.
