Japan used to be a proud nation untill world war 2 but after defeat it sold itself to America,,in the last 79 years it never tried to break free from America , establish good relations with its neighbouring countries,,,

Japan also served as America's attack dog against Russia, taking support from US President Roosevelt in fighting Russo-Japanese war. US needed Russia tied down in Far East, so it used Japan for that purpose - like some older version of Afghan jihadis. When US later abandoned Japan, then angry Japan did Pearl Harbour attack - like jihadis also later did 9/11. Japan was America's original eastern jihadi stooge.

This is also a psychological ploy to push India towards giving Bangladesh leeways in the coming months. BD is falling deeper into economic chaos. U.S probably got a foothold at St. Martin , they have BD in their fist … it will not benefit to have BD going the pakistan way economically and politically. The U.S needs some stability in BD to bring their interests to fruition.

If India is friendlss then how India has become the third most powerful country in the world, after USA and china. Japan has so many enemies with whom India has good relations except only China. Then why shall India go with Asian NATO and become the complex victim of this situation? We have two enemies, one is Pakistan who is much weaker than us and is no serious concern. But yes China has been a giant enemy and certainly has been a very very great threat together with Pakistan. We are in the right direction. We should enhance our defence power upto at least 80% of the Chinese defence strength. India may go for the new alliance with Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Mongolia etc and if Japan and Australia want to come in this alliance they are welcome provided the pact is only China specific.

1. India is a friend to all; enemy to none but no one should dominate India. 2. There is no need for any military alliance against China but there is need to counter China by giving India required technology. As long as India can stand in military terms equally against China, it will behave itself. With Quad and similar structures, it will further be constrained in its aggressive behavior. 3. If India has no friends in its neighborhood, then no country has such friends too; just look at Japan or USA itself!!! 4. Japan, India, South Korea, Singapore and Australia are natural partners against China. This will continue to be stronger in future, as no one country can handle China alone in all its dimensions.

The Philippines, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan must form an Asian NATO. Others can join if they want to, but the core must be the Philippines, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. It is up to India if it wants to join or not, frankly speaking, India is not needed. The Philippine military's experience in war goes back to the 1890s from the war of independence to WW2 to fighting the communist insurgency, crushing ISIS up to the present time. The Phillippines military experience is uninterrupted for over 100 years. Japan is a sleeping military powerhouse. A Philippine-Japan military alliance alone can sow fear into the heart of the CCP. However, since Taiwan and South Korea are democracies, these countries must be protected too. If these countries want to check the expansionist CCP, any of these countries must initiate this idea now. We can call it - APMA - the Asia Pacific Military Alliance.

All this is good when there is only tension and no war…but if actual war happens, we will be needing alliances/partners . Sabko gali denge to koi help nahi karega jab time ayega. Particularly when we have fought wars with 2 neighbours and we are not yet completely self reliant in arms manufacturing.
