That Kashmir is heading towards normalcy was clear in this report -issues were similar to everywhere in India -education health employment. Nobody spoke of militancy. Rajdeep’s report was almost like his elections on my plate -the normal and usual stuff in Kashmir as with other parts of the country.

It was a good report but more centralized on affluents ,upper middle class and visible Pashmina weavers. It would be better if scenarios from rural areas were covered. That would have given us info about whether Govt schemes like food, mid-day meal, Mudra , LPG, sanitation those have reached to people. That is what matters in the election and bigger idea of democracy.

I just paid Rs 500 as tips for the Kacchar to Gulmarg apart from the regular charge or 800 per Kacchar for 8 people in our group last year. And this guy is comparing that cylinder was 300 and now it is 1000.. At the end of the day what matters is how many more people are able to afford it today compared to what was there before.
