1965 में 14 साल की उम्र में मैने इस फिल्म देखी थी। फिल्म में इस गानेको सुनते वक्त मैं बहुत रोया था। आज 58 साल के बाद भी जब भी यह गाना सुनता हुं तो आंसु नहीं रोक पाता हुं।

इस गीत और इन छोटे बच्चों की अदाकारी पर आंखें भर आती हैं

कोई कितना भी कोशिश कर ले ।हिन्दी सिनेमा का यह स्वर्ण काल अब कभी लौटकर नही आयेगा ।नयी पीढी का संगीत के प्रति बदलता taste भारतीय संगीत को नष्ट करने मे कोई कसर नही छोड रहा है ।आज के संगीत मे न भक्ति है न स्वर है न लय है न गति यति और भावना । यह संगीत हमारे तनाव को कम‌करके मरहम लगाता है और मुझे गर्व है अपने देश की इस अमूल्य विरासत पर ।लता जी पर उनके जैसा न कोई हुआ ,न है और न होगा ।

एक हमारी ये फिल्म industry थी।एक आज की है।जहां नन्गई के अलावा कुछ नहीं।
