बिहार के 19 जिले इन दिनों बाढ़ की चपेट में हैं. दरअसल, नेपाल में 60 घंटे लगातार बारिश होने के बाद कई नदियों का जलस्तर तेजी से बढ़ गया, जिसका असर बिहार में देखने को मिल रहा है. नेपाल से पानी का दबाव बढ़ा तो बिहार में कई जगहों पर तटबंध दरभंगा, सीतामढ़ी, शिवहर, बेतिया में कई जगहों पर बागमती, कोसी और गंडक नदी पर बने तटबंध टूट गए, जिससे कई गांवों में पानी भर गया है.
