Aaliyah was the whole package. Beautiful, Talented, Great dancer, Great singer and Actress. This song is a classic and it's timeless. This video would still fit in 2015.
Yes!! I have a photo of Aaiyah on my Pinterest board under The Greatest Music, and I can't believe all the people who pin that picture. She is the most pinned Artist on my board. People really liked her music.
Haryel Toretos It's not the music that turns shitty, It's the artists that either sell out or lose their touch. There are still good artists, believe it or not.
Dennison Fennell The world is changin' so fast.. Teens today can't even imagine what a nice type of music we had.. Every damn saturday night we created a circle on the dancefloor and did our freestyle or did some Rap at Djays turntable... Don't you miss that guys?!
Aaliyah was a beautiful, classy, graceful young woman with a great sense of style. I loved the way she sung. Her voice was smooth, sultry, and very melodic. She would have gone so far. I miss her very much, but I know that her music will be around for many year's to come.

Oh wow, Jet Lee's in this? Nice hahaha. Also, I listened to Aaliyah for the first time yesterday and absolutely fell in love with her. Her voice and melodies are amazing.
Good lord this song is 14 years old, from Feb 2000, but it looks like something that would be shown today. Tinashe sounds a lot like Aaliyah. And holy crap Timbaland has been around forever.
I still can't believe she's gone. Truly one of the most beautiful woman in the world and a great acting talent as well. Can you imagine if she were still alive what she would have accomplished? Grammys, Oscars etc... The sky would have been the limit for this incredible woman. RIP Aaliyah.
i remember if you didn't have cable back then, you watched The Box. I waited till 4 in the morning to see this video I had to see it. I love Aaliyah so much still do and still blast her music like she ain't gone no where. She was always ahead of time in style and music, she is amazing. I am still sadden she is no longer with us, I can only imagine the badass jams she would have now.
@@TroyWical0 That's her uncle's fault there's a video explaining it on RU-vid,her music is unfortunately being hidden on purpose, your better option would be buying CDs.
The talent that was lost, can never be replaced. Gone way to soon. Same for Left Eye from TLC. Both young, talented and beautiful women. RIP Princesses.
Her career was so short but her impact is so powerful! When I watch those ladies today all I see is AALIYAH!!! She was the one that started with those sick beats like (Try again,Are you that somebody,We need a resolution..etc etc), she was original swager. She was sexy wearing clothes for boys.. She is the one that boys listened to and were even more cool because of it !!!! All celebs guys are crazyyy for her!! Chris Brown,Drake.. She is a muse!!! FOR REAL -She was everything!!! Baby girl will never get enough credit for it! Rest in peace my diva- R&B Princess,Urban Pop Queen, Crunk & B mother! Love youuuuu!!!!!
Aaliyah - Try Again - The sad news about Aaliyah was inconceivable and very sad. When I heard the very sad news about the Beautiful "Aaliyah's passing I felt numb. She was too alive and too talented. The memorial for her was done with great dignity. When I watch the doves flying, I got very emotional. She was an angel of God. Rest in peace my beautiful angel...Aaliyah
You said it n I was "younger" lol this was my thing it's still relevant n epic today! Im just happy if i see any millenials who get it,cause this is precious right here.
Poor baby! I feel so sad 4 her.. Her whole life & beautiful career in front of her damn😢.. & her music was just trying 2 help people not bring them down.. Love u baby! R.i.p
Roger Ramirez One thing we MUST all come to terms with ....We all have a shelf life. We were never meant to remain here forever. Some ppl’s “shelf life/ expiration date” is longer than others but we are not eternal. That is the SAD REALITY OF “this” LIFE.
naldi saliu that's because it was a soundtrack to a movie, Romeo Must Die. The director brought the elements of the movie into the music video, with her "romeo"(Jet Li) who also starred in the movie originally as well.
Damn I remember stealing the Aaliyah album from my sister when I was young! I used to bump it all day and night!! I used to fall asleep with it playing and everything haha good times!! Aaliyah was definitely one in a million.
Wow was she absolutely the most amazingly bright star this planet has ever seen. Why in the heck do all the best ones go so soon? Not only ultra talented but just the sweetest most gorgeous soul ever. RIP 15 years Baby Girl. You rockin' it up above so it's all good. Miss you tho.
Exactly, it's annoying as hell that some of the best stars on the planet die way too soon, while some of these wack ass artists left continue to grace us with their "music".
Without sales you mean? It reached #1 on radio play alone, and so have other tracks after it. How else would it have charted back then if not for radio play?
Guppa Clearly you need radio play to chart in billboard. What I meant was without radio play and sale numbers in "unison". Meaning typically an artist would rely on both cohesively to even peak such a position. Aaliyah's 'Try again" was the first in billboards history to hit #1 based on the response of the song alone.
Been a long we shouldn't have left you without a dope beat to step to...step to...step to I love it when Timbo calls Aaliyah baby girl..he really loved her
we all still miss her because she was and still is the most beautiful and talented black woman in the industry. that face that voice the dance moves.. everything about her was so artistic and beyond reality...
