You can visit Aamby valley city Lonavala during monsoon but winter is the best as you can enjoy nature as well other activities like water sports (Jetski, Kayak, adventure park, Golf, etc.)
We visited Lonavala for a long weekend to enjoy Della adventure park and were looking for a place to stay for a couple of days. We booked Aamby Valley Spanish cottage online as it was a weekday. It is recommended to book well in advance for the weekend stay. You cannot enter Aamby Valley without room booking so please make a note of it.
We observed the luxurious feel right from the moment, we entered through the main gate of Aamby valley city. We were escorted by a bullet followed by an Innova to show us the direction to the reception first and later to our Spanish cottage (Royal suits). These resorts are NO DRIVE zone and hence we were taken to our Spanish cottage via a golf cart. All these experiences were quite unique and felt like a VIP.
The entire property (about 10,000) acres was well maintained, manicured gardens, automated water hose, 24/7 room service and 3 tier security that made our stay very comfortable and secure. We were given ample toiletries, bathrobe, slippers, 2 litres of water bottles and all modern amenities in the cottage. It was surrounded by a big lawn both the sides of each cottage for more privacy.
The landscape design of this planned city is very urban and upmarket. We felt that we are roaming in one of the European countrysides as it has everything like lakeside view surrounded by mountains, lakeside cafe (English pub) and lake garden, spanky clean roads, water sports, golf course, horse riding (stable), Toy train, Fountain of Fortune (musical performance with lights show) and above all, the entire property is the silent zone.
