I cried of joy when I watched this. It is you, me and others like this couple which are going to create a new healthy planet and well-being for all. Definitely not our politicians or the big corporations. It shows that environment and climate are an individual matter, and how powerful one human being is. Do not look to others, you have all of the universe creative power within yourself and on your fingertips. Use it now for the benefit of all and for Gaia!
Couldn't agree more Stefan. I believe this is a personal choice and a moral responsibility - each of us has to choose the path we must pursue. Do check out the details of our work and philosophy on www.aanandaa.com
I have 25 acres of land inherited and this is what I want to do. Watching as many video as possible and subhash Sharma and this one is my favorite so far
I've been growing food in my backyard (tiny in comparison to this) for the past five years and the pleasure of working with mother nature is immense. Particularly when you see butterflies and birds make your land their home. In my small space I have managed to create the food forest ecosystem that serves the birds, bees, butterflies, my dogs, and lastly me :)
Congratulations very good effort...you must be immensely proud and satisfied that you have created a little bit of heaven on Earth....greetings from Australia
Chantal g how are you. You can also full fill your dreams if u want I have no money but I have ideas if you purchase d some land and invest some money than I can say you can feel just like a heaven it is my promise.i will work with you as your farmhouse manager thanks this is my contact number is 8851513981
We have seven acres that we are using our goats and pigs to work in order for us to grow a food for us we have cleared approximately 1 acre and have amassed almost 30 trees of varying fruits and many garden beds I'd say about 6 and we are about to put in a truck patch. I love seeing people put this out there so that I can get ideas and see what's working for them. My unique situation perched on top of the hill
1, Buy Land as per plan 2, Survey the Land & Fencing. 3, Cover the soil ( Mulching method) 4, Reserve and Harvest Rain Water 5, Plan diversified plantation. 6, Rest nature will take care.
Down to earth - you have captivated my heart and my soul with all your educational videos. Because of this, i think i'm going to watch all your videos and still can't get enough of it. Much love from Philippines. I love India..😍😍😍😍
the planet is not even close to being big enough to give every couple 12 acres of land. On top of that 12 acres of land that gets as much rainfall as they get. This is cool but lets not act like this is even slightly viable on a global scale. These are rich people getting to do rich people things.
This video was magnificent! I was crying a little with tears of joy watching the wonderful work you have done. You are a beautiful soul and an amazing woman. I like your dog too! Thank you for sharing this with us all. I have dreamed of creating a food forest myself but not sure I could ever afford the land but it makes my heart sing to see other people doing it. And there is something beautiful about your spirit and your voice and beautiful smile. Good luck with everything and thank you! (from a woman in Galveston Texas, USA).

This is beautiful. This is something I am planning to do here in East Texas ( and later in Florida in near future). I'll grow some fruit trees native to Texas weather and also vegetables for self consumption , to begin with. You are the real celebrities of next generation. India is blessed with suitable climate where one can grow delicious fruit trees year around.
wow this woman is just beautiful in the way she thinks and works.......she is doing the things very Indian way of slow and steady and super sustainable way......hats off to all her hard work and dedication. this is something that should be done all over the world.
Absolutely breathtaking. My dream come true. I am cultivating my 0.33 acre garden in Surrey , England , along permaculture principles after a wonderful Permaculture course that I attended in Sweden. It is a joy to see the steady transformation as nature assists your efforts and helps the land to blossom and a balance develop that is so productive and feeds other creatures as well as us humans Ideally, I would adore a warmer, more tropical climate and associated crops! Beautiful and epic production, especially the fact that it can inspire many others to follow suit. love and good wishes
Some of our happiest moments are when we are in the lap of nature. Nature makes us naturally happy. The glow on your face, your smile speaks volumes about it. Indian culture contains numerous references to the worship of the divine in nature in its Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Sutras and its other sacred texts. In Matsya Puran there goes a sloka: दश कूप समा वापी, दशवापी समोहद्रः। दशहृद समः पुत्रो, दशपुत्रो समो द्रुमः। which roughly translates to: 10 Wells = 1 Bawri (Baoli or Stepwell) 10 Barwi = 1 Pond 10 Ponds = 1 Son 10 Sons = 1 Tree While we recite Sanskrit mantras daily to revere the mother earth, rivers, mountains, trees, and even animals we are hellbent on destroying mother earth. Protecting the environment is part of our Dharma. Let's do it.
Isn't it going back to the roots? We explore the planets, so much money is spent on going to Mars to live underground somewhere. I come from a remote village where we ported everything on our heads, studied and became an engineer then did MBA and MNC jobs. Then I realised it's not really worth it all. My people back home used to enjoy life without money and that culture has been finished by the Media and the modern materialistic greed. We have drowned ourselves into something that's got no end and will never bring peace or happiness or even better health. I wish money was spent on making people realise that they are going totally in a wrong direction. We are giving comforts to the body at the expense of peace of mind. With peaceful mind body has no limits and by our today's material greed, we are making ourselves seriously weak. Having said that, in my struggle with going back to roots for the past ten years, I've seen today's environment won't let me make it as my vocation which I had made it in to. It's a different story though.
Well said and very true word by word. I feel the same. However it is self imposed and we are afraid of losing comforts to go back to roots nonmatter how much we know the comforts are illusionary.
_"so much money is spent on going to Mars to live underground somewhere."_ It's any incredible fraction of what humanity spends even on cosmetics! And right now practically only SpaceX spends money on that project. I really get why people love Permaculture and I'm no exception. We NEED to go back to ecological farming. But NOT spending a tiny amount of money on science and (space) exploration is absolutely not the way to go. Ironically permaculture farming will probably be the way to go to grow food on Mars.
Hats off to wonderful couple who had come up with self sustainable permaculture farm. I am a farmer from Telangana and know very well how must effort who both and others put up. 🙏
I'm super impressed. For city people to take up this challenge and live with nature., bold step indeed. May all your efforts be blessed and may you be a blessing to others who want to follow this path...
Can't thank you enough Manisha and Aanandaa Farms team to giving us the inspiration to start our farm - Rabbditta. I have been following you for quite some time now. Kudos..God bless you and your entire team..
What an inspiring story for urban nature lovers ! How well picturised, scripted, videographed and narrated ! Congratulations and many many Thanks for sharing it.
My hats off to your hardwork and persistence. what a transformation. I am overwhelmed with joy. Thanks for sharing this. I hope to visit your farm one day.
This video will be always nearest to my heart. I'm too trying to gardening for 2-3 years. But I got a very little success as it was never my subject before. ................And I'm from a farmer family, in past we does a lots of farming near my home !!! .....But now a days our agricultural lands are covered with industrial factories. However my father has bought a land of 15-16 acre around. But it is very far from my home.... he has farm-house there and he does not want that I give him even a little suggestion on permaculture. I dreamed same permacultural environment near me......... You are too lucky to have this.... God bless you....
One of the best videos, watched it three times in a row. I have been dreaming similar lifestyle for years. Maybe for me it will take few more years to turn it into reality. Congratulations to both of you. Keep inspiring people like me to live a life which is in complete harmony with nature.
Permaculture and agroforestry seem to be two of the best practices right now considering India's depleting soil quality and extreme weather. Farmers prosper and our planet prospers as well...
I am a village boy..we have almost 3 acre of land. And I know hw it feels to live amidst fruit trees, vegetables, medicinal plants, birds, insects etc etc..👍👍👍👍
Wonderful work Lataji and your husband and teamwork! I live in Mohali now but lived in my ancestoral farm and did the same thing. In nineteen years it became a real food forest and people were really struck by the success of it. Though I was just a Science teacher.
Appreciate!! *We Indians need permaculture for self sufficiency & sustenance by growing our own food or raising our own meat just as the Americans or the Europeans are doing. It's my aim/goal too. M all set, but yet to acquire land of desire size & location. We need educated farmers!*
That's my desperate dream, If I ever get too much money, I'll buy huge strands of lands and convert them into "Vatika" to create a green oasis between future concrete forest.
Hello dear bansal g .if you want than I can make a farm house land just like a heaven and more and more better than it.but I have no piece of land I will work as your farmhouse manager thanks my contact number is 08851513981
Congratulations. Agricultural profession in India does need professionals like both of you. You couple is really an example for millions of farmers. Thanks .
Ma'am you have been an inspiration too many every villager in garhwal Uttarakhand should see your video not to flock from the villages of mountain to big city there collective effort and your guidance can do wonders.
The dog is so cute... 2:43 . And she is so calm, cool and caring. It really tells her inner personality as well. Also, the place is so peaceful and divine.
my first piece of land was 40 forested acres. It was its own kind if struggle when there is so littme flat or bare land to work with haha but now I am starting a project on 8 acres.. 3 mostly flat and dry and barren with about 5 forested and steeply sloped. It should be fun. Im excited. I would love the three flat and dry to look so good in 10 years.
Hello Sara g if you want than I can make a farmland just like a heaven for you in India.but for this you have to purchase some of land in India I have more and more great ideas for that I will work with you as your farmhouse manager thanks my contact number is 08851513981
I am speachless. Dreaming to create one. Really Inspired and appreciate your journey. When I watch this , I am feeling myself inside the farm and so much positive vibrations with devine feeling. I dont remember how many times I watched this vedio ... Whenever I felt low , I watch this particular vlog and love to watch Ms. Manisha's explanations hours together. Proud of her.
I know this would be dream farm for many of us. But there is a lot of consistent hear work of you people behind this . The results are amazing . It's not an end but a continuous process . Very inspiring video. Now I have to study about pamaculture .
Feast for my eyes to see a barren land transformed into a food forest you are the perfect owner of the land.I pray to god to give you strength to practice permaculture. I have a very small house but I have transformed it into a small ecosystem where there are bees, birds, fishes, frogs, earthworms insects lots of flowers.
So beautiful. We need 5 million more families like this. I have a whole new imagination on what I can do with my 3 acre property. Thank you for the inspiration.
Beautiful. I first learned about forest gardens online and by reading Robert Hart's book, and he mentions his inspiration in India with the various layers of growing. My only question though: why till and plough at all? Thanks
We still till and plough some parts of the land as we do not have enough mulch for them, and during the monsoons, they tend to get a lot of weeds. The only way to get rid of the weeds at scale is to till or plough.
I cannot believe that so much has been achieved in such a short period of time...on the other hand, I am not surprised! Nature has a way of surging forward and when the right conditions are created, things tend to fall into place. An inspiration! With more and more pockets of permaculture projects developing throughout the world, I really hope that our earth will start to heal and flourish. It deserves nothing less.
