He could have been playing a little in incase of a single to try throw out the tying run, but his first step was in and if he played the ball normal and didn’t trip over himself he would of caught it. Just another bad play with this team.

How many folks start a job and six months into it are worse than at the beginning? In 2023 he hit .222 in April and .160 in September. Ended .209 (League average .243 give or take). This year the future Hall of Famer (sarcasm) is hitting .245. He doesn't give you average, homers, RBI's, or Walks. Let us even remove the error today, the management belief in him is the reason Trea Turner and Corey Seager never were offered a dime by the Yankees front office.

Volpe and peraza are why there are so many holes in the infield and why the rotation had been such a mess since the 22 deadline . And yet people still want to prospect hug

If you and I made a list of every Yankee prospect the past 10+ years how many either as Yankees or landing on other teams would way say have had Very Good to Excellent careers? Look at the holding on too long to Miguel Andújar and Clint Frazier as examples. The hype on Volpe was over-the-top to the point he was to baseball what the Beatles were to rock music. Until you see a player perform two straight years in the Majors with success, you need not to have them on top of the baseball mountain.
