I agree. If you follow his story back to the 90's, you'll see he was a very charming and happy kid. At some point he became emotionally broken and was so concerned with peoples perception of him that he came across as crazy trying to prove he hadn't fallen off or wasn't failing or wasn't on drugs. This just gave people more fuel to attack him. Very vicious cycle to be stuck in. The fools gold track was a great record. It showed he had turned the page and didn't need to hang onto the music of the past to be relevant. If he had just kept his head down and focused on his talent, he would have been alright. Even with is clothing brand, he was hand making his love/carter brand of hoodies that were unique and could have been huge if he had scaled up and really put them into production with him as the face of the brand and a factory producing them

LOVE is all he ever wanted. Going on the impulsive podcast he went downhill that’s what planted the seed in his head to get that face tattoo. Than shaving his head. Missing the lime light of his fans, recording himself 24/7 going live. If people wernt going to put him on camera he was going to do it himself unfortunately we all had to watch him spiral. I can’t believe he claimed to be clean for 5 years yet he was huffing, pot, prescription xanex who knows what else. I wonder if Melanie told him to tell the truth. Sad his sister died 10 years ago 2012 in the shower, he dies in the tub. I’m an addict myself I know that when I was on drugs the things I said were awful and that wasn’t me. When Aaron was clean he had a heart of gold when he was on drugs that’s when it heightened his mental illness that’s why I never took what he said seriously. I do hope we get an op, topsy report, of course, they’re going to say it’s drugs. I want to know exactly what he was taking. And it’s sad that the homeless lady he hired had to find him like that the last time someone saw him was Thursday night and to be found in the bathtub Saturday at 11 AM the composition started and the tub water was a different color, so who knows how long he was in there for! So sad..

This really does break my heart. I grew up with Aaron Carter. And watching Nick break down at the tribute the Backstreet Boys did for him, had me bawling. Mostly because I know that pain. I lost both of my brothers in the last six years. One to drug overdose and the other from serving in Iraq at the age of 17, he couldn’t sleep anymore, so he started Drinking heavily at night and his liver just couldn’t hold out. It’s just so heartbreaking when you lose someone you deeply love. Aaron truly wanted help, and he truly was putting the work in, to make his life better. I hope there's a lesson to be taken from this, and that we as a society learn it. Through all of the pain and false starts, Aaron was a constant advocate for mental illness visibility and de-stigmatization, and I truly believe that is what he would want his legacy to be.

@JTScott1988 Год назад
Actually the bigger lesson is mental illness can and often does start with the level of trauma in Childhood that many adults succumb to. How can we expect a child to survive it? We can’t. Secondly the blame falls on those who made him as he is and traumatized him so. We need to start holding adults who are responsiblefor kids accountable for how they raise and treat them.

As someone who has struggled with mental health issues, he was never a true advocate. There was never a time where he sat and told the complete truth about anything. People would start calling him out on his lies and he would verbally bash everyone. He got back what he dished out. Never once did I see Aaron be a kind honest loving person in a live stream and receive nothing but hate back. Thats not the way it went. He wanted to get away with his bad behavior and blame it on mental health. no matter what we go through as children we are still responsible for our own actions as adults. Aaron absolutely did not want to be held responsible for his own actions and never once was he honest about his own mental health and the help that he needed.
@JTScott1988
@JTScott1988 Год назад
@@alys4570 that’s a massive problem right there. Abusers always get off the hook and the kids are left holding the bag and picking up the pieces and when they cannot do so it’s THE KIDS FAULT not the adults who broke their mental. This has to change.

From what I've seen online, most comments are negative and then there's comments about how Nick was breaking down in his concert. Nick is only crying because he felt guilty for completely cutting Aaron out of his life and showing us just how little support there was for Aaron! R.I.P Aaron, fly high with the angels 💖

I do feel like he loved quite hard. He needed the comfort of loyal people around him to support him and he could’ve also benefited from ongoing therapy due to a lot of trauma and loss. It’s all so sad for his son, his son is just gorgeous and will never truly know his father.

Geez Aaron 😢 you were my first love… literally. I was madly in love with you when I was a child, just like any other young girl at that time for sure. I had your iconic songs ‘One better’ and ‘Do you remember’ on loop the whole time. The ironic thing is I was just remembering and listening to your songs 2 days before your death and just feeling all nostalgic… who would have told me you were gone in 2 days. I saw you during your struggles, and somehow I feel like I should have done something to make you feel better…. But I know it couldn’t be so easy. I’m sure you’re rested now, this world was too cruel to you, you deserve to be with the angels. Hope they’re giving you all the candy you desire 😊😊 Forever loved ❤

Awe this is very very sad he looked very happy during the 2019 interview. I always kind of wondered if he suffered with an E.D. more times than not actually E.D's stem from feeling it if control and can alleviate anxiety or OCD. It's all so very sad. There was a lot of trauma in his childhood as well . I pray he found Peace

The fact of the matter is that Aaron struggled with drug addiction. Xanex, opioids, whip it's. Prescription pills. He didn't have an eating disorder, he wasn't being honest in this interview. He does look sober and healthy here. He needed to heal and be in therapy long term. Sadly, his addiction issues took his life. I wish he could've recovered and I wish he would've been honest with himself to admit he was an addict.

I didn't realize he was bisexual. They say that a lot of LGBT folks end up idolizing other LGBT folks growing up...and I think that's why I was such a big fan of him. He really helped me get through that period in my life when I was facing homophobic bullying on a daily basis. I used his music to escape. It really saddens me to think he wasn't able to escape in the end. RIP ❤️

Left this same comment in some videos about Aaron. Saw his twitter for the first time after learning about his death and wow the amount of hateful comments people left. Even a simple picture of grill out that he's proud to share, people called him homeless and karma. For sure it's the same people who preach about humanity, peace, love blahblah. I really hate the hyprocisy of people. If you hate a person, sure, hate them all you want then please do move on with your life. But to be that obsessed to leave hateful words in everything Aaron posted that's just crazy. Easy for you to hate and be clean because you're not the one dealing with demons. I mean you being THAT hateful, man you have that demon to deal with, dont act like you're all clean because you're not. You have a different dirt that you're doing. 🙄 This goes to everyone who wanted to be a bitch on the internet. Think of your words, you can hate a person but still be nice when addressing it. Nothing can be learned from saying "you're fucking homeless lmaaoooaoaoao and thats your karma". Imagine your words are the final comment the person sees before they die or that comment seals their decision to harm themselves. You just killed someone and then the audacity of you to go around preaching about humanity, protesting or something whenever there's a mass shooting, killing, war and shit. Sorry for the long rant, I grew up listening to Aaron's music and then I didnt know what happened to him after all those years. I only found out when I saw his interview on twitter looking so skinny and that's it and then now his about death. Didnt know the bad things he did but I understand and I'm really sure it's because of his illness and substance abuse. Seriously, people should've encouraged him to get some help and showered him with support instead of shit talking about/to him because that really didnt and wont ever work. RIP Aaron Carter. So sorry the world didn't give you more chance. Rest easy childhood crush. ❤️
