Thanks for sharing. The arrival activity and the initial player ownership/problem solving is an interesting way to start things and develop the players responsibilities & session.

Dont necessarily agree that the cross over run is what attackers should do in a 2v1.. Running in straight lines wont help i agree, but if the other attacker pulls back to create an easier angle to pass, its more effective and puts the defender in a very tricky position. Even more effective if the distance of the other attacker is slightly further away too.

It's not what they should do every time but it's an idea. Cross over runs force the defender to make a decision, stick tight with the player on the ball or back off a yard to cover some of the space too. A further progression could be a 3v2 and this would then encourage vocal communication when the cross over happens.

Its different situations really. This was just something to focus on so it cuts out the simple pass where the defender can read it. This works brilliantly on the wings and i use it for my full back and winger to either invert their run in behind and creat an over load.

This is not really realistic. A 2v1 and 1v1 should be directional and realistic to a game.
