umm he didn't even have to drink the water from the goldfish bowl to be torturing the goldfish, simply putting it in there and expecting it to live is already many forms of torture.......
***** Nah, i could never be that. I love meat but would rather they be killed humanely. why would you think so? it is just that bowls cannot provide what all fish need such as a working filter with enough good bacteria to convert their waste in the water (ammonia). Goldfish can actually grow really big if they are given the right amount of space. They are forced to stay small externally because of the tiny bowl but internally their organs keep growing. So then there isnt enough space and they fail to function causing slow painful death. If that isnt torture i don't know what is XD But that isnt the only probably as those who learn biology will know about surface area for exchange of oxygen. Basically not enough oxygen enters the water for them to breathe and they suffocate. Yeah... i dont know why people even invented the goldfish bowl.
***** XD then that would be okay with a strong filter lol. I wonder if anyone would make a huge fishbowl enough to contian one goldfish. The thing is ther are two types of goldfish: long body and round body. The round one needs at least 20gal ( about 80l) and addition 10gal for each new one. The long body though... lets just say a pond. They grow huggeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Like an arm's length and produce so much waste. Just think of them as koi fish, nobody puts koi fish into a bowl hahah.
Ominous Bliss Because you know so much about how to take care of a goldfish properly, and what they require. It's nice to see someone like that. People who know things about fish are cool :) I respect people who know these things because it probably takes a lot of focus to remember all the stuff that needs to be done in order for the fish in speaking, to be happy and well. ^^ Whether or not you looked it up on google, or studied on for it, you took time out of your life to get to know those things. And that's what I truly respect. Someone taking time to know something so they can take care of something else. 'Thank you for caring about fish enough to want to know more about them' is what I'm mostly trying to say. Sorry if I'm a bit confusing but...
