The market is getting way oversaturated with the "minimalist guard shoe" so it's nice to have options like this if you're a bigger guy who really needs the support. Even the LeBrons don't fill that niche anymore. Loving the Zion 2s but there's only a few options out there.
oversaturated is the right word. I don't like super-high tops that traditional bigs use either. I don't like the lightweight stuff like curry. the middle spot is the best
What I like about shoes like this and the Zion 2 is that guards can easily use models like this with good support etc as a go to shoe. I wear the Curry 9 & 10 regularly especially in games, but having a different type of shoe also helps especially when your training on court, doing workouts. I always use a different shoe for the training stuff 90% of the time. I’ve been using the Why Not .5 and Don issue 3 models when I’m not using my Curry models. I’m hooping 5-6 days a week so I like to have lots of shoes to use. In my opinion and from my point of view your kicks don’t have to be the most expensive or be best performer either. I like the set up of the shoe total support with comfort traction need break in good impact protection in my opinion looks old school like hyperdunk series...good for forward center
One thing that 361° market for this shoe is that retail version of both the normal and the pro version of AG3 are gonna have same material as the player version, which is why it is so stiff.
