Show me just one.....JUST ONE popular so-called male R&B singer under 30 today that can actually sing like this live or in the studio and I'll have a heart attack. This is pure talent and a beautiful performance.
Aaron Hall in his prime and live is everything. He used to really put it down. For the early 90's, nobody was fuckin' w/ Johnny Gill, Aaron Hall or K-Ci Hailey when it came to live singing and just vocals, overall. All three had individual sounds and voices, but they all shared fire and soul that just made you feel a way. It's interesting because certain elements in this song reminds me of R. Kelly's _Your Body's Callin' (His & Hers Radio Edit)_ which came out a year after Aaron's song. Ummm... But anyway, great performance, Aaron.
I’ve been watching this guy (no pun intended) in concert since ‘88. People talk about his similarities to Charlie Wilson, but no one ever mentions the Stevie Wonder similarities in vocals and facial expressions.
The multi-tracking of Aaron on the background vocals is amazing and his sense of harmony incredible. Reminiscent of Marvin. With Aaron, MCA didn't need to spend much of the production dollars on background vocalists or arrangers.
Yes! The "Sex You Down Some Mo'" version rendered LIVE. This was a tour de force and was of the most passionately delivered songs in all of 90's R&B. Today is July 28th, 2018 and I still play this in my car...."I love you. I'll never hurt you again." MAN!!! To all the women I may have shortchanged over the years, I apologize.
Yes he did I used to play the truth album on repeat throughout the years when you need me , until I found you, until the end of time and let's make love were my personal favorite songs from it my copy won't play anymore.
