@@trendybistro Why not? If he doesn't get the pitches to hit, he will at least take the walks. Although, against most of the teams that the Yankees will finish the season with, aren't close to a playoff spot and they will likely pitch to him. I guarantee that the Yankees will pitch carefully to Bogaerts in the upcoming series against Boston.

@@jonathanoscategui2678 i am praying thats what they do. They should have done it earlier. But yes he deserves to be captain of this team and in my opinion he is. He will be the first to tell you they are all captains of this team. But he carried them through that slump after the allstar break. And he continues to do so. And if Stanton gets hot for the post season, the twin towers hot in the playoffs, look out.

How could anyone dislike this guy? He stays humble and level headed when everyone begs to see emotion from him. I love the way he keeps everything low key. No bat flips (like JDs on sac flies), no taunting, no bragging, nothing. Keeps his head down and keeps plugging away. I do hope to see atleast a fist pump on #62. 😆

I don't mind players pimping hrs, because I know if I personally hit an mlb hr I would be pumped as hell. But the way Judge hits a hr and calmly walks around the bases like he's been there b4, is just so awesome

@@johnnytwotimes7854 totally agree, doesn’t bother me at all when the opposition does it because it’s the pitcher’s fault. Not something I really get though (maybe a generational thing). That being said unless you’re hitting absolute bombs like Judge or G put your head down and run hard. Donaldson always looks like a doofus when he pimps singles off the wall.

Aaron judge is a leader by how he conducts himself, is an elite team player, always motivates his teammates, and plays with a calm intensity. Judge has earned every dollar 💰 and if Brian cashman doesn't honor everything judge did for this team, he risks losing the whole Yankees fanbase and that's not a prediction it's a fact.

Aaron judge being the leadoff hitter is probably the smartest move the Yankees could make. From the get go he's going up there ready to strike and set a tone. If DJ comes back having him bat ninth would essentially turn over the lineup and make the Yankees even deeper 🔥

You know, I've been thinking about that. Normally, the only good thing about having your best power hitter in the leadoff spot is, is that he gets to have more at-bats, especially when his OBP is excellent, which Judge leads the majors in. Otherwise, as the Yankees have had this year, there were some weak hitters hitting behind Judge, yet, he is still producing a great number of RBIs. It is simply AMAZING!

@@RayRay-zt7bj it would be perfect because DJ can bat in any spot. This would give the bottom of the lineup a good reset with DJ at 9 with Judge and Rizzo following him at the top. Bader as seven reinforced the offense tonight. Stanton at fifth works as well.

He has been pissing me off since he came back from the IL. You saw how effective he was last year when he was playing right field and in the game mentally. I kept begging him last night to inch closer to the plate because he is easy strikeout bait with the slider! He got lucky with Crowe who had trouble with location.

ROFL @ Judge (referring to Carpenter's curtain call earlier in the season) saying, I've been here 6 years and only had one curtain call. That in itself is unbelievable! Of course, Judge hitting #60 was a well deserved curtain call, but from Judge's perspective, I believe it had to be a bit embarrassing with the team still down by 3 runs in the 9th. In the end, of course, it all worked out well though. Thank you BIG G!!! It is still a LONG ROAD ahead for the Yankees. Let's hope they hang in there!

Judge tied Jedge. Just for clarity in case people don't know, back in the late 1920's George Babe Ruth's teammates used to call him Jedge. Also it is forgotten and overlooked that for his 60th Babe Ruth also hit a go ahead 2 run HR in the bottom of the 8th to break and 2-2 tie and The Yankees would win 4-2

Aaron knows! Stanton hitting a GS walk off is the real high light. Hitting 60+ hrs is not about winning…this is why he is the MVP…Shohei? How can he even be considered as an MVP when the Angels ain’t winning? How valuable are personal stats when your team won’t even make the playoffs?Judge has kept the Yankees in 1st place and in the run all season.
