My gaslighting tormenters told me you were writing a song about the search for the real me. I don't even feel crazy posting something like this either because I've been turned into the first supercomputer human and that can only happen by accident to a pure hearted genius!! I'm so proud! I'm endlessly tortured and gaslighted because of it. I scream for help. I know Aaron's story because he became a target from my sing 'Something to Remind You' well. I first heard this song performed by Walker McGuire a few years ago (I think they wrote it). I hear it and it always reminds me of SSGT Girard Gass, a Green Beret Army medic & sniper, who lost his life in Afghanistan. God Bless our service people. Every one needs to have a moment of remembrance tomorrow, 11/11, Veterans Day. Unfortunately they only get ONE day of honor, not an entire month like other mostly non-courageous groups who get a month+. Also please remember: Memorial Day- to honor soldiers who died in combat. Veterans Day- to honor those brave souls who still walk amongst us.

Dustoff pilot here who has flown with some of these battlefield angels. Had a 68 Whiskey hook up to my comms and asked me to take the long way home. We were over the coast of western Honduras right at sunset, after his wounded warrior he had just drug out of the jungle passed in his arms in the back of my Huey. I was praying to God he wouldn't jump. He didn't. He took his warrior home to the states. Found out before they headed north that they were childhood friends who grew up together and joined to become SF. That one still haunts me, Bro. Bad. Heard this song for the very first time nailing on our barn roof this Saturday past. Stopped me cold in my tracks and had me sobbing on my hands and knees like a damned baby before it was done. Snot-dripping, gasping for air, sure enough ugly crying. Felt nothing this deep in years. Awful lot of very dark shit just came pouring out. Aaron, my Brother, many thanks to you and the crew for covering this in such a heart-stirring way. Does honor to the lyrics and to the angels you're singing about. Mad respect for them and for you. Damn Aaron why do you always make my allergies flare up. My last deployment was as a Navy cop providing security for a field hospital in Iraq in 2003. While not an actual Corpsman I spent most of my time in the casualty receiving area and when lots of wounded came in at once everyone helps. Saw a lot of heroes called doc then as well as so many wounded heroes. I was 38 and most of the Marines that came in were just kids. Wow that song hit home hard.

I served, infantry. I was critically injured Dec 25 1991. Pfc2. My life today is not the life I lived before, due to my health issues. . I'm 59 today, and I can assure you. Freedom isn't free. Since then I've had the honor of performing with many great artists across this country. A.L. This reminds me very well, of the time I had left, which was little, thanks to my brothers, I was carried and airlifted, and spent 3 years of my life, fighting hard, rehab. After that, I have fought everyday since to cope with cruel evil people in this world .if I could do it all over again. I would. Signed DOC.

To quote a certain chubby electron man: "God loves the infantry. That's why he sent the battlefield angel to protect them." To any and all current and former Docs, Corpsman and whatever the fuck your branch calls you medics: Thank you for keeping our boys and girls safe. Thank you for saving who you could. It's not your fault for the ones you couldn't. Welcome home, folks.

One of my worst calls. A cat who washed his mouth out with a 38. I was just going through the motions until I seen the Caduceus tattoo on his arm. I said oh Shit, he’s one of OURS. I held his bleeding head between my knees and breathed for him. I was taught hearing is the last thing to go so I told him how sorry I was that this had happened to him and that I was here for him. It wasn’t the first nor the last time I picked brains from the treads of my boots but it hit SO HARD. I guess he just didn’t have nobody to talk to and couldn’t unsee the shit he seen so………he spoke as loud as he could over all the stupid bullshit of society trannys on beer cans masks and vaccines and billions to a foreign nation and taking aunt Jamima off the pancakes with a FUCK7NG gun blast.

As a former Infantry Medic, I told my Soldiers to drink earth juice (water), change their socks and eat some Motrin. They took care of me and I took care of them. I can close my eyes and see, hear and smell them. We used to say that some people dream of being a hero, while others relive it in their nightmares.

I had served overseas and most song never had gotten to me until this one did. I don't talk about what I had been through but I tell you little. I lost my buddy overseas and has he was dying, I told him he was fine and he will make it, that he be going home. Then he slowly passed away. I try my best to compressed my feelings from the war and bothers I have lost but when this song played I was shaken to my core and broke down in tears. There was a lyrics that had to do something that all solders in combat had to do is provide comfort to your bother and lie to them, that they will be fine. I just had to share this to have some closure, without having to talk to someone directly this.
