Although I do agree writing a paper with Dr Erdos was a great honor, the man did in fact write papers with just about everyone. To the point where it spawned the "erdos number" which measures a math authors prominence based on how many steps removed in paper authorship they are to erdos. Which , of course makes Dr Pomerance a degree #1 mathematician, which is to say, an important guy!

Professor- Hank...your and Ruth's hr totals when multiplied together is the product of consecutive primes. Aaron - Wut?

Another off thing about Hank Aaron's homeruns. They're all about 4's: 1) the most most homeruns Aaron had in a season is 44. He did that 4 times. 2) He tied with Willie McCovey in one season . Both players wore the number 44. 3) He hit homerun 715 in the 4th inning off Al Downing. Who also wore number 44.

As a lifelong Orioles' fan, and a Marylander for most of my life, much kudos do I give you for the Cal Ripken Jr. baseball card images scene in the montage at the beginning of this video!

When Erdös received his honorary degree in 1995, that was also the same year that Ripken broke the consecutive games played record

Brady, I watched this following today's Primitive Numbers Video, with Jared Lichtman. I broke down as Prof Pomerance described his burgeoning relationship with Paul Erdos. I recall Erdos met and mentored Terrence Tao. It just fills me with joy to hear about such wonderful human beings. Cheers cobber.

The question related to the first property of 714 and 715 can be restated as "Which numbers are both primorials and pronic numbers?". The primorials 2#, 3#, 5#, 7#, and 17# are 5 examples. The corresponding indices in the pronic numbers are 1, 2, 5, 14, and 714 respectively. Searching for larger examples of the first property of 714 and 715 is thus equivalent to searching for larger pronic primorials. By dividing by 2, this is also equivalent to asking "Which triangular numbers are the product of the first n odd primes for some n?".

An amazing story!!! What's more is that he doesn't refer to those amazing circumstances as 'fate' or anything of that sort... he's a mathematician and therefore realises that highly improbable things happen with surprising frequency!

Look at the ball with uv light. You will see the signatures. Most likely the ball was signed with the Flair felt tip pen that was popular in the mid 1970's. The older pens left a trace of ink that was visible under a UV flashlight.

The reason it tops out at 715 is that two circles total 720 degrees: the resolution of our number set is limited by "twice" and "half", because it's created around the radius, diameter, base, and height within 2 circles.

Anyone else notice that the scoreboard in the bottom left at around 0:25 is impossible? There would be no bottom of the ninth - the home team would already be up 4-3 and have won by that point.
