First time coming across your channel & I loved your review! You are hilarious & we had the same reactions, especially that "down bad" counter 😩 Also the fire detector beeping in the background got me weak lol
People who didn't like the third act either wanted him to kill all the bad cops or were confused by the why the cops turned on the sheriff. But this movie stays grounded in reality. Like how you pointed out in the reaction you can't just kill a bunch of cops and get to live your life, so he took pains not to kill anyone. And the cops turned out of self-preservation. It was too much to cover up at that point and was going to require committing 3 murders after the state police (the Boogeyman their precinct was scared of in the first) were notified and in route. So the cops did what they did the entire movie: covered their own asses.
Not at all, the movie is a realistic "First Blood". She hit the nail on the head with everything she said reviewing this, he was non-lethal for his own safety even though he had plenty of chances to stack bodies, even the black officer playing the role she did as annoying as it is made perfect sense because some folks buy into that badge far too much. The female cop was never the inside help, it was the cop that got shot which also makes tons of sense because he was looking out for his friend not Terry until he had no choice but to do both. The movie is grounded and realistic.
