Aaron Spears performs "The Chicken" (Alfred "Pee Wee" Ellis) with Berklee students as part of the 2014 Zildjian Artist in Residence final concert on October 8, 2014, at the Berklee Performance Center. #berklee #berkleecollegeofmusic
Aaron is one the nicest dudes in the industry. Aside from his drumming, he is very magnetic and positive. Also, he hits the drums real hard! I have jammed drum sheds with him. Never let him borrow your sticks, you will get them back in pieces. And wear ear plugs. His snare hits are like explosions.
ONE OF THE GREATEST LIVE PERFORMANCES OF ALL TIME!!! I watch this video every day now... ALWAYS getting the good ole goose bumps watching and listening to Aaron beat down on his drums...especially the grande finale near the end. Each member of the band played great solos...with Aaron's majestic playing gliding each player along. I'm so proud that I was able to play my electric guitar on this Berklee stage while I went to school there in1989. I'll never forget the wooden floors and the great acoustics... Rest In Peace Mr Spears!!!
Oh come on. How did this just beat all performance of all time with the chicken. I'm more than blown away. Personal and precise attention to every single individual on stage and it deserves every second of the 17+ min. My goodness!!🤩🤩🥵🥵
I love this piece of music !! and I'm not bashing on the musician's !! When I heard this song it was a bit faster !! But all in having good fun !! I love Aaron Spears playing style with any piece of music....Keep up the good work.....
To all you guys naming Jacko Pastorius as the composer of this song, He did not compose this, he only played a version of it. The composer is Pee Wee Ellis
This is awesome! Is there any chance we could know the names of the rest of the incredible ensemble? Would love to show some more support and learn where else they play in the future.
