+TalulahCarmichael2 He does that a lot, speaking a line instead of singing it. It makes things both more emotional and funnier. To me, that's part of acting a song as well as singing it.
+Gloria Shafton Have you seen the video of him performing Run Away With Me? Not the version that was on his live album, but the one he did sometime before that? He does exactly what you said, he acts the song out, and it's amazing.
+TalulahCarmichael2 Where he's wearing the brown and white plaid shirt and is about 25 years old? Only about a hundred times. And yes, he's both singing and acting there. So talented. And he brings so much more to each song that way. Each of his little one-song videos is a whole show for us. He's the ultimate performer.
+Gloria Shafton He really is! :) I would happily watch him singing anything, even a Taylor Swift song. (I can't stand her, or her music, so it's usually not enjoyable for me to listen to those...)
+TalulahCarmichael2 The reason he makes that Taylor Swift song great is because it's his sense of humor. Here's a grown man singing a little girl's song, and it's a crack up. I love his silly side. Hope he shows more and more of it.
+Mathew Hutchins The last time Miss Saigon had an audition, they were ask to pick one song from Miss Saigon to sing. I guess it depends on the producer.
I finally got around to listening to Miss Saigon's soundtrack and after hearing this I immediately thought Aaron would be such a great fit for a Chris and frick I stand by that after hearing this. Broadway would be missing an excellent opportunity to use Aaron in the upcoming production.
+Ale Valdemar I believe the West End is coming over and not happening. Huge, long time fan, and interested to learn any facts out there about the flashy film planned.
omg Eva is from my city and I saw her in her high school production of West Side Story on a field trip when I was in middle school. she's amazing. I've kept up with her ever since and when I found out she was heading to broadway, I freaked out. being Kim and Eponine in West end was great but Kim on Broadway omg I'm so excited
***** ive seen her in both Miss saigon and Les Mis and she is fricking unbelievable like it made me think how can a loud big voice like that come out from her. she is AMAZING
+pangzed8448 omg you are so lucky. I barely remember her performance since it was years ago and I didn't have the appreciation for musical theatre that I do today. I only remember that she was amazing. AND she was only 14 or 15 at the time. wow she's really gone far. I saw her in our news about going to West end and screamed
After watching the absolutely gorgeous proshot with Alastair Brammer as Chris, I'm convinced previous barricade boys make the best Chrises (which I guess works well with the Eponine-Kim connections! I joked that Eva Noblezada died in the arms of more Amis than most Eponines but there's still a thing there).
OH. The strength, the passion, and his phrasing absolutely slays. I've only seen one show on Broadway - and this was it... Thank G-D he didn't sing "Bui Doi" or I'd be crying twice as hard...
This play caught my interest for more than one reason. The talent was #1. It brought to light the sadness of what happens to more than one child and mother. Recklessness brings havoc. It's not o.k.
i really want them to do a miss saigon movie with live singing like they did les mis, and i want aaron tveit or jeremy jordan as chris. eva noblezada would be cool for kim, and it'd be really cool if lea was gigi :)
Why does Saigon never sleep at night Why does this girl smell of orange trees How can I feel good when nothing's right Why is she cool when there is no breeze Vietnam, you don't give answers do you friend Just questions that don't ever end Why God, why today I'm all through here on my way There's nothing left here that I'll miss Why send me now a night like this Who is the girl in this rusty bed Why am I back in a filthy room Why is her voice ringing in my head Why am I high on her cheap perfume Vietnam, hey look, I mean you no offense But why does nothing here make sense Why God, show your hand Why can't one guy understand I've been with girls who knew much more I never felt confused before Why me, what's your plan I can't help her, no one can I liked my memories as they were But now I'll leave remembering her When I went home before, no one talked of the war What they knew from tv didn't have a thing to do with me I went back and re-upped, sure Saigon is corrupt It felt better to be here driving for the embassy 'Cause here if you can pull a string, a guy like me lives like a king Just as long as you don't believe anything Why God, why this face Why such beauty in this place I liked my memories as they were But now I'll leave remembering her, just her
I’ve watched Jeremy Jordan and Ramon but I prefer Aaron’ interpretation. I can see his emotions both through his actions and vocals. Lea Salonga does a great job as well
Aw he misses performing on stage in from of people that even his serious mood for the song is affected 💕💕 His singing & acting are both still so amazing tho

Great voice! Just my two cents worth.... By the song's lyrics, it projects inner conflict, deep human anguish, desperately seeking God for an answer, " why now, why today?" Simon Bowman and Will Chase effectively projected those emotions with soulish frailty, not with cockiness like rolling of the eyes or a tinge of personal haughtiness. Aaron is a great actor and am sure he will refine his take on Chris if he gets this role, i hope he does!
+App Green I think though there is some room for haughtiness if you think about the line...why now why today? He doesn't want the responsibility/feelings he has like he says he just wanted to do his time and leave with what he had...Kim is almost a burden so there is still emotion in that too
Elizabeth Edmunds You have a point there, but inconvenience to me can easily be shrugged aside. There was ember that sparked in his gut that made him invoke the name of God. Otherwise, Saigon would have been just a casual show of shallow emotions.
