"Aazhawigiizhigokwe", ("Hanging Cloud") is a very special Ojibwe'-Chippewa woman, who was a full warrior (Ogichidaakwe) among her People and claimed by the 'Wisconsin Historical Society' as the only Ojibwe'-Chippewa woman to have ever become a warrior. She is also known to some Ojibway people as: "Goes Across the Sky Woman", or, as "Ashwiyaa"("Arms oneself"). Aazhawigiizhigokwe is the daughter of Chief Nenaa'angebi ("Beautifying Bird") and his wife, Niigi'. Although, her birth date is unrecorded, it was in the early to late 1800's. She is said to have crossed-over one final time to the Spirit world at some point in 1919, although, the reason for her death is not recorded.
