The reason is that in the early 60s, when Takoradi was booming because of the harbor many Ghanaians even others from other African countries removed there. At the time the best bands like Broadway and others were all using fante language. If you listen to Pat Thomas for instance, he is from Ashanti but most of his music was in fante language. The language is smooth and good for high-life.
Wow 😯, I’m super impressed ; as old A.B is , he was still able to performed live Band over half an hour nonstop compared to your modern day so called afrobeat alcoholics who can’t even perform half an hour lips 👄 singing. Sankofa indeed .
KOFI TV YOU DO ALL. MOSES IS MY FAVORITE SONG OF ALL TIMES. WELL DONE DADDY YOU ARE SUPER DUPER MOST TALENTED OF ALL TIME. SALUTE. YOUR LIVE SHOW IS SO ON POINT JUST LIKE LISTERNING TO A RECORD. TAKORADI ALL DAY EVERY DAY. THE BEST COMES FROM THE WEST 4 REAL❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
We Ghanaians should appreciate our own kind of music. God bless our great musicians both living and dead. And we cannot leave the instrumentalists, sound engineers, backing vocalists etc.
Wooow Papa Samo's part was lit 🔥🔥🔥 proper highlife aswerr. Papa Semolina. This legend still got energy and endurance than most young artists who perform now adays. Tight band!! 👏🏿👏🏿 Bassist 🤝🏾🔥
What l love most about Papa AB is his big smiles. As old as he's, he still shows great enthusiasm in performing. Having said that, I would have felt more comfortable if he'd not sung "Moses".
The reason Nigeria music is going high is they have taken fela kuti style of music but Ghana instead of learning from our old musicians like this and perform they are learning fromJamaicans
