First time making a music video using old tv commercials, hope you guys will like it! :) (NEW!) Twitter: / ab97music SoundCloud: / ab97music Bandcamp: ab97.bandcamp.com
EDIT: Seems like another video got randomly boosted by the RU-vid algorithm! Welcome everyone :D I'm ab97, a vaporwave artist from Morocco. I've started this project nearly 3 years ago with mashups and remakes and I'm now working on many exciting projects, at least 4 different albums! If you enjoyed my work, make sure to follow me on Twitter :) twitter.com/ab97music And you can download any of my tracks and/or support me directly on my Bandcamp! ab97.bandcamp.com
These commercials are a lot more than just commercials. These are things that defined our childhoods, and defined the world that we lived in at that time. A much more normal, sane, and safe world.
The medium is the message. We switched from broadcast TV to 9 trillion different websites. It doesn't make $$ sense to invest into that level of quality anymore I the era of distraction and ultra specific targeted advertising. All forms of media are subject to material conditions.
Been listening this way too many times. Induces so many emotions. "Still in love, still in love, i'm gonna be all you want me to be, still in loooove, still in loooooooove.....". Personally i love to call this as "ab97 - Cloud 9".
Playlist worthy, can't wait til I can drive to this. Thanks ab97! dope song, you should try and sample Kool and The Gang - Summer Madness as your next one. would be a hit for sure
I’ve been rekindling my love for vaporwave and this was recommended to me. You’ve really captured a feeling here ab97. I love the slight chord change from 0:54 to 1:12. Will definitely check out more of your work!
It used to be there along with other singles back when I still hadn't released any albums to keep my page more organized. You might find it there soon when I release the track on a new album :)
Again a reference to the lawnmower man lost in an eighties utopy/dystopy searching for refreshment. Making sense of our lives through consumerism is ideology.
