1930s Abandoned Bungalow - England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
In today’s video we explore a 2 bedroom abandoned bungalow from the 30s.
It has been abandoned for just over two years even tho it looks a lot longer.
The owner lived here for 30 years and lived in terrible conditions.
He slept in the kitchen and kept all of his clothes in bags by the fire to stop them from going mouldy.
He really did suffer in silence in this property until he was moved to a care home where he sadly passed away 2 years ago.

The cooker in the kitchen is a Rayburn royal. It ran on wood or coal and would have heated the radiators in other rooms in the property via a back boiler inside the firebox area. This in turn heated the water cylinder and hot water for baths etc.

We brought an old bungalow like that 20 odd years ago, with the crittel windows. The wallpaper slid off the wall it was so damp. We spent a lot of money doing it up and made it really modern and cosy and put bedrooms upstairs. We lived there for about 6 years and moved to another house that needed doing up. Poor old boy that lived there couldn’t cope anymore, our old place was owed by an old lady, It had a great vibe to the house even before we modernised it, which is very important

Thank you for watching this explore ☺️. That’s such a shame. It’s really nice that you spent the time to do your bungalow up and make it feel like a home again . I’ve seen all those programmes on the TV where they do the houses up and they look unbelievable after the transformation . It’s really sad when they can’t cope anymore and they end up living in really sad conditions :(

It's sad to see these places so falling apart and taking over by nature. But still it's nice to go back in time and see how people lived in the older days. Thank you enjoyed watching this video from South Africa. Oh and next to old sewing machines, old pianos is nice to see too.
@PartnersOfTheForgottenWorld
@@hanlivoges4855 it is sad to see these places how they are left and also sometimes the conditions a person lived in . But your right it is nice to visit these places as you step back in time and learn about the history of these places and someone’s life. This one was particularly sad as how you see this property is how he lived at the time when he was alive. Thank you for pointing out the piano . I don’t think I noticed the piano when I was filming because I put so much concentration into the video . Thank you for watching 😊

Looks like there was a woman there at one time because the iffel tower bottle in the bathroom was sold by Avon and its a lady's perfume I remember i had one the same. Looks like the man gave up on life maybe his wife died at some point thats why he gave up on how he lived them dust webbs have been there years and years and I see catheter bags there probably he had kidney failure and thats why he needed to use them maybe he was in the airforce at one time sad the way he ended up living in this terrible mess but people do .Great find both .

Nicely spotted Glenys, there were a few of his wife's perfume bottles on that dusty bathroom shelf. I suppose he couldn't bring himself to bin them. Maybe he used to look at them, or smell the scent to remind him of his wife ? What a shame, and what a way to go.

Hi Guys, great video, very interesting, but also sad. I have watched it once but came back to check on that old bike. It isn't a Chopper, it is actually the iconic Moulton Bike from the 1960's, a fab bike that had front and rear suspension..! Designed by Alex Moulton. At the time I was 13 and wanted a Moulton, but they were expensive, my parents decided another bike would be better for me. (was cheaper) I ended up with a Royal Enfield Revelation , not quite the same, it had bigger wheels and no suspension, but ok for my paper round. You can google both bikes.
@PartnersOfTheForgottenWorld
Thank you for watching the video , we’re glad you enjoyed this explore 😌. Thank you for that information about the bike as we wasn’t entirely sure. Wow you sure know your history thank you for sharing with us . We will take a look into this
