Somehow it is incredibly satisfying for me to know that people with your knowlege and skills still exist in the world. I noticed that you're so close to 100K subscribers, too! Let's go!
You have a rather cavalier attitude about finding a gem like that. They all rotted away up here.(I just had to) Hope all's fun and sun there.Seeya soon.
I love watching your videos of working and repairing engines other than showing vehicle’s off they’re all good videos but the engine repairs are the best. But I love your channel brother Keep the videos coming
I have a 1984 Chevy Cavalier wagon. It's a 4-speed manual. It was my dad's. He bought it new from Celozzi-Ettleson (see their commercials on youtube) in Elmhurst, IL. It runs fine, though it currently needs a new oil pressure sender because it started leaking (badly), and a heater core, which also started leaking (I had already replaced the radiator).. I have all the parts, just need time to put them in. It sat for 10 years without being driven, all it took to get it running again was a new fuel pump and a battery. Replaced the filter and tank (rusted) later. Had to get it out of the garage because the house was going to be sold. I was driving it one or two days a week till the heater core started leaking and then the oil pressure sender started leaking too. Hopefully when I replace those nothing else will start leaking! (I replaced ALL the coolant hoses).
I bought my 1995 Chevy Cavalier brand new from Celozzi-Ettleson Chevrolet. That was the first car that I actually bought myself. Between me and my sister we ran it 13 years and 208,000 miles before the engine and electrical issues made it uneconomical to keep. The commercials were all over Chicagoland TV. Those were the days.
Happy Halloween, Jay! Love to see a good old '88 run again! That was a great year for Chevys and Fords. The '88 body styles of the Chevys were classic! Better than today's one size fits all body styles. Can't wait to see what it'll look like when it's all cleaned up.
This was pretty much my first car, just a different color and no pin striping. It was a good basic car so not that much to go wrong. Crank the windows yourself and reach across if you need to unlock the passenger side. Took a lot of abuse and just kept going.
I grew up with an 87 Cavalier. My mother bought it brand new and drove it for 25 years before the engine blew up. I'd love to have one again some day, but finding one in good condition may be near impossible.
Seems like your area is a good place to find older J bodies! Anything 80s or even early 90s are non existent up here! Glad to see this one will live a happier life…….
Happy Halloween Jay. Cavalier to me was one of the good cars Chevy had around growing up in the 90s. Best to me was the 1985-6 square body lol Great vid! 😊
Hey @Jay Smart I was wondering if you still have the one cavalier that needed a head gasket I’m a king time channel member and still remember that thing 😂
Chevy was STILL using a scary buzzer on the Cavalier in 1988? I thought Chevy would have retired the old buzzer by this point and only used the chime tones by this point. Are you very sure this is a 1988 model since it would probably have used the chime tones by this point?
Lost video...is that like bootleg? Just kidding. 😎 I almost bought a Pontiac Sunbird (the Cavalier's twin) once. And I regret not buying it. Cool little cars!
I mean...... Yea lol This is the Blue, 2 door VL coupe from Tennessee. You lead me to the Blue, 2 door VL Coupe from BS haha , cant you tell the difference smh XD
