I live on Vancouver Island and it hurts my heart when I see this once beautiful home, destroyed. I don't understand people... 😢 glad you were able to see a bit of what is left. I enjoy your channel and look forward to seeing your next adventure.
It’s so sad to see something this historic so trashed and left behind. I can only imagine how beautiful it was at one time. The view would be amazing. Thank you for sharing.♥️♥️
Wow! You manage to find some of the most spectacular properties. The buildings may be junk but the land and views are some of the best. Thank you. Keep up the great work 👍
Wow! This place must have been incredible...I can only imagine the water views. I'd love to wake up, look out my window and see seals and whales! I love fireplaces, but most of them were extremely small and I can't imagine that they heated those rooms.
10 MILLION DOLLARS?!?! Haha, clearly I was bewildered 😂. This was a really fun explore, thanks again for letting me tag along. Glad our drones got along so well 😆. Loved the kayak footage with the seal at the end, too!
Hi Brent. Just love your drone work. You're so talented. Also loved the sound of the rain falling on the umbrella. Safe travels my friend. You are my number one urbex explorer weither from here or abroad. You are fantastic. Be well 🇨🇦👩🍳🍁
Another awesome video Brent! Your productions are clearly improving with time. I can only imagine how peaceful this place must have been in it's prime. Random question: Where do you source the cool, downtempo electronic music you use? I'd like to maybe try some of it in a future project of mine if it can be licensed. Cheers!
Hey thanks so much! Yes it was once a beautiful house. In the description of all my videos it has all the music info. It’s royalty free music just need to credit them in the description
Hi Brent Nice drone footage. I love drone footage and the scenery Sad to see the house so vandalized/ Graffiti Thanks for your time in exploring it! ❤️ from Minnesota
Unbelievable senseless waste. What on earth influences someone (not just kids) to damage such a awesome home. Love this house, but the mindless damage done cannot be explained. Who are these losers? Thanks for another great EXPLORE .✨🌷🌞
Finally I watched this video 🙌🏻 this the only video of yours I didn't watch right away,Wooow huge house, amazing view,a big shame for such a wonderful property great job my favorite explorer 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 you are the best 👍🏻😁🇨🇦❤🇷🇸
What a great location..I would love a house like that with ocean view..kind of secluded...rebuilding the house or building a new one at this location must be very complicated due to the remoteness of it..bring in up the materials etc...great one Brent.
Thanks for sharin...kool intro tunes..tiny fireplaces for each small room..distribute heat...drone footage great, canoe starfish ..awesome...the ol black n white...great research..🐢🐘👽🦋🐒🌈
I appreciate your efforts to keep your channel clean and the warning you gave in this video. I sometimes watch with my son, and it's nice to have a warning.
Really great video, I loved the end with the seals and ocean views etc. I’m a massive fan of the West Coast. This is a stunning property, I’m amazed it’s still vacant (the land) and saddened by what has happened to this home. Such a waste.
WOW...it went from a loving home to a "Bought & Forgot" property...sad!..it must of been quite the place in it's day!!...the view is still breathtaking!!!..THUMBS UP!!
I love your videos Brent! Even the if they have lots of graffiti. You just look past it & take in the beauty of the property. Thanks for sharing them & all the history. This 1 was huge!
Thank you for the warning about all the bad graffiti. My son and I watch your videos together, but this once I think he can skip. What beautiful views!
Wow what an incredible video!! Too bad it's so vandalized, I can only imagine what is was like back in its prime. You captured some beautiful scenery. I love this video.
Hey Brent thank you so much for your wonderful videos! I haven’t commented much lately however I always look forward to your new videos every time they come out. ❤️
I'm jumping around but just found your channel. I love abandoned places....great shots in your intro.....is this area north of us in Oregon USA? ( where I live). The terrain is similar to our mountains and forests. Sad that this place was just ignored. Darn.
What a beautiful setting so close to the water and the woods. Luved the purple starfish! This was very nicely done even with the graffiti! Thank you for sharing!
Hello Brent. Thank you so much for sharing this explore. Love the house. It HUGE. The house would have looked really nice in the when it was new. The drone footage was awesome. Greetings from Doris in Australia :)
Loved hearing some of the back story, always interesting. As far as all the fireplaces, that was when the house DID NOT have a central heating system. So the fireplaces WERE the heat source. LOVE seeing old houses. This is as close as I'll get to exploring abandoned places. Thanks for the tour!!
Thank you for doing this video! Everything around my area is destroyed by vandalism & the saddest thing is that someone allows these places to just deteriorate after purchasing them. I love using my imagination and seeing past all the junk because what it must’ve looked like…. it’s fun to imagine🥳😍
great explore Brent, what a beautiful place this must have been when it was "alive" and running, love all the fireplaces and that Elevator was awesome,,
Nice area, fascinating home. It would have been nice to see this place in it's hayday. Subscribed to Nikki, love explorers, especially fellow Canucks. :)
This is such a beautiful part of North America. My Family moved to Florida in the 90's but the folks got married in Vancouver and honeymooned on Vancouver Island in 1958. We had a chance to take a trip up there and flew into Bellingham. We traveled all over, went to Whistler, etc. I was born and raised in Michigan but the winters just got too cold. Now we deal with sink holes, hurricanes and for the first time since I moved here in 1995, tornadoes. We are the Town that was hit by 5 tornadoes in Jan of 2022. I really enjoyed your narration. Is there a way you might be able to find out more history on these old homes that you can share? The history you talked about was great but maybe more detail on why someone would invest in a property like this and then not rent it or use it as a B&B? I'm looking forward to the next one!
Stunning area. Such beauty. What a shame this place was destroyed. I saw the before pictures. So unique & I loved the art work that was there. Thanks Brent
Wow another amazing explore thanks Brent! such a beautiful property would of loved to have seen it in its 'glory days' such a shame it's so trashed. $10 million !!! looks like it's in the middle of nowhere.....how do you find these amazing places?
This house is a prime example why foreign buyers should not be allowed to buy a place unless they plan to live in it. I know that Canadians do this too but at least it would cut down on the frequency of abandonment. This is such a shame. In the good old days and also in places without accessible utilities for central heating, the only way to heat a place was with a fireplace in each room. These days it's easy with solar or thermal heating. I'll never figure out what kind of twisted pleasure people get in destroying a place. Thank you for the smooth movement of your camera, it makes it easier to watch the video.
The small fireplaces have me puzzled. It seemed like you could only fit a tiny log and what would be the point? Beautiful area, thank you Brent for this explore. Stay safe ✌️😊
Wow! You found another jaw dropping beauty!!! NOT the STUPID GRAFFITI!! I mean the beauty was in your drone footage. The gorgeous setting of that huge home, trees, water, and seals...the cliff edge, and endless rooms on multiple floors!!! And your inside tour, that I easily became lost in!! Do you suppose all the woodwork was originally black? and walls white?? Didn't see any remnants of wallpaper anyplace. I enjoy your explores SO very much!! You do the very best job each time😊 Thanks and be safe❤ Such a lovely country up there!!- ❤ from Illinois
What a beautiful place next to the ocean back in the day I bet it was absolutely gorgeous to walk around all there place it's so sad that people can't be respectful and not damage the past you can tell this was beautiful thank you for always putting out wonderful videos I bet it awesome to see the seal on the rock Happy May Day
Hi Brent Long time no see! I would live in a shack for those views!! Can't find words for people who love to vandalise and destroy. Your drone shots and music 🎶 were beautiful. Thank you to the best explorer! Gill 🇬🇧
Hi Brent I am new to your channel and watched a few of your videos and liked them so I decided to subscribe. This house was very big and had a cool elevator. I think that this house could have been nicer for someone who was a movie director. Maybe it is all the graffiti that made this house look so unattractive. I wish you would have got on film the seals you spoke of. Overall this was an interesting video and enjoyable. I do appreciate the warning you gave us about the graffiti. Will be looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Stay safe and dry out there. Until next time……
Your walk around does not show a lot of structural damage, drywall would replace the lathe and plaster and yes the building could be repaired and updated if the intake price was right. Thank you for the great video.
It sounds very solid, not rickety and shaky in the least. It is all cosmetic, that place took a whole lot of abuse and would need a complete gut rehab down to the frame. That timber framing in those walls is something else. In today's prices if they are asking $10 million for the property it would probably need at least $5 million or more to bring it back to its former glory. A very beautiful home, beautiful property and a total shame what happened to it. I would love to see pictures of what it once was. Who knows what evil was brought into it while abandoned and trashed.
Brent another great video. I bet that mansion was beautiful in the days. You're right, it's beyond repairs. If the exterior was in better shape, you can probably gut it and remodel it, but the vandals destroyed it.
Wow, I wish I could of seen this place before all the vandalism. If your still on the Island there could be some exploring to do in Jordan River! Would love to see some more V.I. vids ♡
The sad thing is that this property is worth twice as much as when it was in habitable condition precisely because of the activity of offshore investors like this…
@@1868foxpoint Canada currently has the most over-priced real estate in the world. The inflation in prices has been greater than what the US had prior to its bubble bursting. The last couple of years has produced >25% price inflation yoy, continually. More than half of all properties sold are purchased by buyers who already own other properties. Vulture offshore investors have been able to purchase properties like the one in this video, neglect them into ruin, and double their money, driving up demand in the process.
Hi Brent. Really nice views here. House is so trashed. Damning the stupid vandals. Too bad about the house. Bet it was gorgeous then. Fantastic. I'd love a house here. Bit further back though. Awesome Brent. Take care.
Must have been a beautiful property once. The additional scenery was amazing, thanks Brent. But so much destruction and disregard for the actual house is very sad.
