Quick note that only the individual theme park is called Universal Studios (or "USF" or "USH"), which in Florida is joined by Universal's Islands of Adventure and soon Universal's Epic Universe. This altogether is Universal Orlando Resort (aka UOR). It would be like calling all of Disney World "Magic Kingdom."
Maybe they will if marvel/Disney Decide to take the rights to the marvel characters that Universal is using at their parks And replace the marvel stuff with Gotham island
@@theprodigiousspiderstarTM The contract for the Theme Park rights for Marvel Characters that Universal can use was signed and negotiated with Marvel before Disney acquired them. Under the terms of the contract, Universal can use the Marvel Characters they have in perpetuity meaning forever provided certain condition are met. As these rights are worth a lot now, Universal makes sure those conditions are met
With Regards to Gotham Island, as Batman is a DC comics characters which owned Warner Brothers (WB) , WB wanted 10% of royalties/merchandise sales from Universal to let them use the Dark Knight. Universal held firm at 6% even when WB lowered their asking price to 8%. So Universal negotiated a deal with Marvel which was not owned by Disney at the time to use Marvel Characters instead.
@@jasonyau326 well thanks for all that info and I almost forgot about WB’s deal with six flags but it was just a thought because Gotham island would be so COOL
My favorite ride at Universal (that’s not Harry Potter themed) is for the main park, Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket. But for Islands of Adventure, it’s Spider Man. Out of the Harry Potter rides, My favorite is Forbidden Journey.
Another wonderful entertaining vid! Seeing the Simpsons ride brought back great memories of the Krustyland area in Hollywood Universal. I'd die happy to see anything even remotely like Gotham Island 😭🦇🖤
Really really interesting video here. I knew about some of these but not all. I would have loved the Gotham land with the Dueling coaster, that would have been awesome!
Yeah, it's interesting to see the differences between what could have been, and what came to be. It seems most of the rides were built, just not in the same themes, and, just as with Disney, ideas are never discarded, just reworked. And, it does seem that dueling coasters are gone forever, after multiple incidents of bad actors throwing items from the vehicle--- people just can't be trusted. Even with the metal detectors.

In an alternate universe, we got Gotham Island. Wildly popular and iconic, it’s deemed the greatest theme park attraction of all time, dethroning Disneyland, Disney World, and Epcot combined. Through the years its technology was updated to better improve functionality, but never cutting corners, or changing the original. The creators of the land were awarded, and are in high favor within the industry
I knew there was always more. Didn't know what it was. Learned something new. Thank you. That Apollo coaster and Simpsons dark ride sounded like the bomb! Hope we get Gothom some day.
If you’re wanting to go somewhere with something that resembles a Gotham City island you might try Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi. One of the lands in this theme park is Gotham City. Probably not as good as universal would have done it but it still exists. I believe it is right next to metropolis the fictional city of Superman.

Man looking at all of these rides make think what if! mib is cool but another dark ride would have been cool! Dc would have been way better then marvel but hey I like hulk and Spider-Man too
@5:00 OMG for real? Its DOG FIGHT......not DODGE fight. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ I don't know if I should feel sorry that it got by a writer, editor and narrator or that millenials don't know what a DOG FIGHT is
