Notice that Belle Isle State Park is one of the last of Detroit city limits did installed the LED street lights in late 2016. There are two videos that are different years. During the Grand Prix Race at Belle Isle during Memorial weekend of 2016, they still have Sodium Vapor Lamps, but in 6 months later in November of 2016, they have installed the new LED street lights throughout Belle Isle Park.
Thanks for this. My wife and I visited Detroit for the 1st time yesterday and walked around the paths and saw the fencing, as we also saw the structures fenced off near the athletics building. Thought maybe it was an amusement park, but thought different once we saw some of the double and triple fencing in the forestry. Now we know. Thanks!
As a hobbyist can I fly here without FAA permission? It falls near city airport and is right on the boarder. I just got a Mavic Mini and want to do some flying there. Some apps say I can, some say it falls within city airport airspace. Asking so I can get authorization if needed. There are a lot of places in Detroit that I would like to fly, just don't want to break any rules
Not 100% sure to be honest. I did this like a month after i bought the drone and i did try to stay low. I was right next to it and didnt go toooooo far above the trees just to make sure i didn't hit any branches. But i have seen several other people flying all types of drones around the island

pretty cool it's a shame that it's gone but I have a question for you how did you get the camera to turn sideways, the time on video was at 3:00 - 3:01 or was this not the camera that did this ?
It was the camera/gimbal itself. There's a button on the controller, and if you push it up it flips the orientation of the video like that, but if you push it down it points the gimbal straight down to see directly below the drone. I pushed it the wrong way the first time by accident, I was trying to flip it down so I could see what was right below me, so i didn't lower the drone onto a tree and crash lol
thank you have not ever tried this I know I reprogrammed that button next to the right joystick left right is up down forward and backwards zoom in you out I believe this was the same button that you mentioned is this correct

Me and a couple people crawled through a hole in the fence and walked around a little back when there weren't as many police around patrolling and it is eery as hell. It's beautiful but a bit haunting
