People who sneak into these abandoned places are so brave. I get creeped out just looking at these places through video, let alone traversing them IRL.
Cartoon High Nothing creepy actually took place in these areas, but they just give off weird vibes. Idk if it’s because they give off creepy abandoned vibes like a nuclear holocaust/war happened or if they just give off creepy vibes knowing that people did die at some of those locations Lol. I don’t know what’s actually causing these creepy vibes, but I strongly dislike them. Lol
I think that the creep factor comes from the fact that they are abandoned. There was once a lot of people, making a lot of noise and having fun. Now, there is only silence.
Cartoon High I mean they can't be that creepy cause it's disney but the creepiest thing I can think of is discovery island and river country cause they're both extremely old and falling apart but especially the island cause it's surrounded by eerie water
Idk what it is about the island, but that looks sketchy af. Idk y, but it feels like somethings just goin to pop up out of no where and either kidnap u or kill ya.
I actually vaguely remember going to that "Cranium Commands" ride when I was five. I just didn't remember what it was called until now. I remember the general or something saying to the audience, "And where do you think you are? Disney World?" So that's what happened to that attraction.
He does indeed say that actually. If you watch this video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xYLuxIvE1OY.html, he says the line at around 6:08
I never understood why Disney just leaves old attractions and parks to rot instead of demolishing them. It's not like they don't have the money to do it...
Plus if it was shut down for a death(rare) they may not want to disturb a resting place or if it was shut down from a bacteria outbreak because of unsanitary things they dont want the bacteria getting into soil
They found him, and it wasn't pretty. Some dude stole him from the ride, then tore him apart and is selling the parts online. There's a picture floating around of his head missing the eyes, hair, hat, etc. It's freaking disturbing.
@@spongeoutofwaterrehydrated9565 Nope. I do my research first. And when every news site is saying the same thing and showing the same photos, I'm fairly sure they're telling the truth.
They just had so many ideas and not enough funding for their attractions and countries so we got B-list attractions which eventually were closed anyway. It's a sad history but it's still very interesting to see the process of making Epcot into one of the best Disney Parks
@@onecrazyladykirby5967 True, however it's also about the perception of where society will go so the fact that some of their planned countries never came to be is sad. Cultural perspective is the key to understanding society as a whole
2:18 However! In 2019, Wreck it Ralph and Venelope were introduced into Imageworks and was a meet and greet area for guests. But the way they make their entrance is they come through a tunnel of light called "The Link" and it is believed that they used remnants of the rainbow tunnel to create their entrance! Look it up, it's pretty neat!
CyberneticFlora It wasn’t awesome. It was life changing. 😂 But for real it was such a good ride! Why didn’t people like it? It was 100x *less* scary than the ride before
Ian Miscenich lmao why are you so hurt? It’s just a sucky ride get over yourself and I still Stand by what I say it’s not my fault you can’t handle the truth
YES. I have watched a lot of abandoned Disney videos and no one EVER talks about River Country or Discovery Island for abandoned attractions and they're the most obvious ones! Kitchen Cabaret/Food Rocks is also not mentioned a lot, and I didn't know part of it was still existing within soarin! Awesome job!
To be fair, no one had been on Discovery island in over a decade. It was only a few years ago that we finally got any footage of it in its abandoned state
this might sound a little weird, but every time i go to disneyland i can’t help but notice the little remnants of the past disney’s left abandoned. the skyway station in fantasyland, the track/loading dock for the people mover that was destroyed by the rocket rods in tomorrowland, and even the track for nature’s wonderland in frontierland have been left nearly untouched. it’s so interesting to think of how much the park has changed in just around 60 years.
Aww yeah!! Thanks for featuring my clips of ImageWorks! It’s a shame what they did to the iconic rainbow tunnel. Hit me right in the feels when I saw it in person 😞
I Hope That If Sometime, In The Near Future, They Reboot The Original Journey In Imagination Ride To Include Dreamfinder And Everything That Made The Ride Great, They Would Also Bring Back The Rainbow Corridor.
I know that a lot of people have commented about this already, but uh Why not- Buzzy was stolen by someone, not removed or anything like that. Im not entirely sure, but i think they might've found out what happened to Buzzy, but i don't think anyone got him back. I think the person who stole Buzzy took him apart, and sold the parts on Ebay or some online shopping place like that. Also thank you for stating the actual reason river county closed- There are way to many myths about it-
I think that Disney should open discovery Island as a spoopy attraction. This should be an over thirteen attraction though (becous it would be to spoopy)
Actually, Buzzy has been used for animatronic testing periodically, as recently as this summer. He's completely intact and is supposedly going to the Walt Disney Archives.
Food Rocks also starring: Veggie Mercury with "Broccolimian Rhapsody" The Grapeful Dead with "Touch of Grapes" The Buckwheat Boys with "Show Me the Meaning of Being Healthy" Judas Peas with "You've Got Another Thing Cookin'"
Whenever I see these abandoned by Disney videos or Disney rides that are no longer there, even though I have never seen or need on them it feels like they took a part of my childhood out
I'd love to see an overhaul of Cranium Command with the characters from Inside Out showing guests a typical day in the life of Riley. Also, my wife and I wanted to try and find River Country, but weren't sure how to get there. Then, later on, we took one of the boats that travels between Fort Wilderness and the Magic Kingdom and saw it being torn down, and the person driving the boat explained that they're going to be building a new resort in its place.
i’d honestly be sad. i’m one of the few cranium command fans out there, haha 😅 or if they replaced it i’d at least love to see buzzy preserved elsewhere
Yeah detroyed stitch or withered stitch cause of animatronics that are broken or destroyed is called withered (idk) is gonna haunt everyone FOREVER lol
It’s funny that they wouldn’t keep Wonders of Life open while Spaceship Earth was having a renovation... does anyone else find the lights on Buzzy a little creepy? I also like how the SENSOR sign was sent to the archives! Great Video!
he wasn't stolen he was removed and here's why: you see there was a boy named Bryan Jones Bryan was a fun-loving curios boy he wanted to see the show another way looking at the sides but when the show moved to the next part BOOM! the wall crashed into bryans head killing him the death happened in 2005 thats why wonders of life was closed 2 years later what did remain? bryans soul that's right buzzy contains the soul of Bryan crazy right?
Great video guys! I'm kind of sad the rainbow tunnel was torn down, but at least I got to see what it looked like before it was. It would've been really cool to walk through it.
I've watched something recently that Captain Buzzy was somehow stolen out of the Wonders of Life pavilion and the whereabouts of the animatronic are still to this day, unknown.
@@myinternetshow It's likely this. After he left Disney likely found the footage, traced it back to who took and broadcasted it, aaaaaand slapped the ban on him like a sticker on produce.
Can’t believe Buzzy and Hypothalamus were stolen Theory about project 89: Park or Hotel that is water themed or Little Mermaid themed. Note how it’s called 89, what Disney movie came out in 1989, Little Mermaid
Thank you for being factual about what happened to River Country! I of course knew it was due to Typhoon Lagoon, but it’s always refreshing to see someone using their mind about it instead of jumping right to “brain eating aomeba.”
It was also park late because of the new Florida law. This guy doesn’t know everything. I’m local I know why it closed. It was in the newspapers. Don’t believe everything you tubers tell you
Very cool video! I always assumed that disney "abandons" these attractions as it isn't feasible to spend time and money physically removing them until the need arises. It is fun to discover that these are still around however. Like finding a treasure!
Dennis Mitchell clearly it’s not Eisner. And honestly things evolve and change, of Walt was still alive I bet that even more attractions would be gone. He was a big believer in progress
I was on a boat for my birthday, and the person who was driving the boat showed us the entrance to discovery island. Still gives me chills since that day!
I like seeing the abandoned parks that are half-taken-down. You know, where they've peeled the stuff off of the animatronics. It just looks sfo creepy and It's interesting to see all of the stuff that was inside of the animatronics.
i know some things that were abandoned or closed at disney world Mike Fink Keel Boat Dock in the Magic Kingdom. 1.Discovery Island. ( Discovery Island in Bay Lake at Walt Disney World, Florida, abandoned since 1999. Walt Disney bought this place in 1965 and opened the Treasure Island here in 1974.18 Nov 2013) 2.Disney's River Country (This abandoned Disney water park has been rotting for over 15 years - now it's turning into a resort. When Disney River Country opened in 1976, visitors flocked to Orange County, Florida, to ride the winding slides and traverse the wooden bridges. The park closed down 25 years later, and today, it lies abandoned.27 Jun 2018) 3. Rainbow Corridor in the Imagination Pavilion In 1992, the Journey into Imagination pavilion was completely overhauled. The ride was redone and ImageWorks was moved downstairs and re-named to the What If Labs? The second floor of the Imagination Pavilion was closed to the public and for years, it was unclear on what had happened to the rainbow tunnel and the rest of the original ImageWorks area. 4 . Mike Fink Keel Boat Dock in the Magic Kingdom (At about 5:30 p.m. on May 17, 1997, the Disneyland Gullywhumper boat began to rock side to side. It capsized, dumping a full boatload of passengers into the Rivers of America, leaving several with minor injuries. The boat was removed from the waters for inspection and neither the Gullywhumper nor the Bertha Mae returned for the next operating season. The Bertha Mae was put up on Disney's eBay Auction Site and was sold for $15,000 to Richard Kraft, and was later featured in a scene from Kraft's documentary Finding Kraftland. It was billed as an unseaworthy craft.) 5. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OpHoiNr8N2c.html (showing The Abandoned Wonders Of Life Pavilion with recent footage)
two things: 1. Discovery island is actually famous by becoming a creepypasta for a series called abandond by Disney and then a Five Nights at Freddy's fangame called Five Nights at Tresure island 2. At the time of commenting this Buzzy was stolen from the ride
Literally my only complaint about this video is the lack of mention of Dusky Seaside Sparrows (as Discovery Island was the last place they were found at) but otherwise I absolutely love this!!
Cool! Idk why but I like watching things about abandoned stuff when you said they are making a new hotel I got excited. Can't wait for them to make the hotel!
Wow, I thought I couldn't see anything more about these attractions that I didn't already know, but that bit about the Rainbow Tunnel surprised and depressed me all over again. Thanks, Fastpass Facts! ;)
You should do another one of these featuring Disneyland abandoned attractions like Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland, the old skyway station, peoplemover/rocket rods, Hollywood and Dine at DCA, half of Downtown Disney now, etc.
I hope this gets a lot of views so it gets boosted up on the searches for this term and I dont ever have to hear about that dumb creepypasta ever again.
I'm in a lot of creepypasta communities and I hear about it All. The. Time. It's clearly some edgelord's attempt at getting into the creepypasta "pantheon" as it were, with Sally and Slenderman, and Ticci Toby or whoever. That's why there's a photo negative mickey instead of just a normal mickey suit as the final scare. Because a mickey suit, is just a mickey suit but a photo negative mickey can have fanart, and cosplay, and be a spooky youtube found footage series. If it had just been "oh there's this abandoned disney park I explored and there were still some snakes and a spooky thing happened with a character costume and maybe it was just a guy but maybe it was a demon :O" I could suspend my disbelief since clearly, disney has a track record of just abandoning whole projects fully intact after closing them or halfway through construction. But it's photo negative? It uses Mickey's actual voice? That is so unbelievably stupid.
@@Leafpool2 You just said "searches for this term", so you directly said it was searching for the title. Backpedaling? I'm the author, by the way, and your really hateful preconceptions are all completely incorrect. It was written in 2012, at 2 AM, all in one sitting, and was based on a one sentence "pasta" I wrote that read, "Beneath Disney World, there's a Photo Negative Mickey that pulls its head off for you" or somesuch thing. (Fun Fact: Creepypasta cosplay wasn't "a thing" in 2012, so you might want to reconsider the stuff you're claiming.) I can't really help if my random-ass story I wrote for fun is mega important in your circles and to you - even if in a... negative... way. The intention was to enjoy myself, and I did. Try just having fun and it'll help lighten up your hatred for other people and their silly ideas. :)
Update: Oh, never mind, you're just parroting Jenny Nicholson. Yeeaah, she's friends with a fellow I turned down for the rights to my work. Slightly biased. ;)
I saw river country and discovery island last summer. I rented those small boats at the contemporary and drove to magic kingdom and then dove back to drive around discovery island. I was able to see a couple wooden things and what I think was a diving board at river country and I saw a dock, a shed, and a building in discovery island. Trees mostly cover it up, but if you ever wanted to get on the island the boats are the smartest way.
@@SaraHouck461 -- I agree. Journey in it's original form was absolutely the best and was the most popular attraction at EPCOT Center. It was so well loved by the guests that DISNEY couldn't close the attraction. The platform in the beginning with DreamFinder and Figment didn't work well. It was supposed to synchronize with the ride vehicles but it occasionally missed and jambed the ride and stopped the whole attraction. DISNEYs' fix was to tear out the platform and re-imagine the attraction to a very bad version, minus DreamFinder and Figment. The ride was shortened and the new story was very bad. They also closed the upstairs Image Works Permanently. COST of re-imagining was pretty much why they ruined the entire attraction. This was NOT received well by guests and closed very soon after opening. It was re-imagined again, this time with Figment showing up a couple of times but it still sucked. This would be the version you see today.
good video but a bit of missed information, Disney was accused of abusing the birds from discovery island which was a large reason for closure and it being on an island made it super expensive and difficult to get to which was part of why animal kingdom was built , all of imageworks was abandoned, it should have focused on all of it, wonders of life as a whole was abandoned, river country was not closed because of the deaths that was ell before it closed and typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach were built because Michael Eisner was jealous of local competition. not to mention horizons, the peoplemover, minetrain through nature wonderland and several others were missed. I know this sounds very negative but I did indeed enjoy the video missed information just bugs me a bit
Discovery ISland was invaded by the vulchures. they became a big problem because they attacked the other animals. They would swoop down and pick at the eyes of those huge box turtles. It was reported that cast members had used sticks to swing at the vultures to scare them off and some of the were actually hit. This is not good in itself but the vultures were claimed to be protected and this information tied with the DISNEY name made headlines. In light of the bad information in the news, it was decided to close the island and the animals found new homes, some went to Animal Kingdom, some went to zoos. -- The former Discovery Island has sat abandoned since but it seems to have a thriving population of these protected vultures breeding there. The island cannot be "re-imagined" intill DISNEY can figure out what to do with the protected vultures without making headlines.
I hate to say this but Disney has the best rides that's your option in my opinion cedar point and other cedar fair parks which owns CP has one of the best rides yes some had imfomis defunct rides but good vid
4:26 how does being banned from every park work do they have pictires of him scatterd around the entrances of each park incase he shows up or do they do something else?
