The first time was when they were getting close and wiggling on the floor. I thought ‘oh my god, she’s going to die’ and cried. Great chemistry between him and the girl. Well written. I did get a laugh at the narrator pronouncing the girl’s name differently every time he said it lol

The father's firework funeral was beautiful, the girl hearing her grandmother from the toy was amazing, and the girl hinting that the man was her dad was tear-jerking

The fact that the mum just came back and was like yeh I’ll take her back but she’d never even met her properly just shows how unorganised this was. The mum should’ve just tried to become friends with them like she does at the end and then slowly the girl would like her and then she can tell her she’s her mum. That’s better than just taking her from Sam who actually loves her and wants her to be happy. Who she’s already happy with as well.

Ugh, come on its a movie... but i am thinking of the ending, i hope they shown some sparks between san and the mother, i mean the kid would definitely have a happy ending.. nonetheless, the last scene is so satisfying😊

Damn, the family is horrible for not explaining to her what death is or comforting her, instead leaving that responsibility (and the girl) to some strangers as if she's a problem they don't want to deal with. Good on this man and his friends for doing what the family didn't even if they did it for money. This is a solid movie.

the family is horrible for not explaining but later on the mom said she was abroad and was sent to prison and the grandma couldn't contact her so they presumed she died. still fucked up for not explaining though

The male actor looks very familiar. He shaved his head, got rid of his glasses and lost lots of weight. I’ve seen him in many other dramas, here he’s so mysterious. Didn’t think I’d cry this much

I loved Zhu Yilong and his fantastic chemistry with Bai Yu in Guardian so I watched this movie and came out of it bawling. The surrogate father and daughter relationship between Sanmei and Xiaowen is so precious. 😢

I've watched this movie several times now. The little girl is 💯 adorable and the "thug" cast is perfect for the role. It's a genre I didn't know existed - Father-child relationship. It's a movie that introduced me to the world of Asian movies, since the infection of western movies by woke virus. High time to move on - perfect movie to start with. 1 million % recommended.

I’m not prepared for this, i thought the plot is about the daughter also becomes a gangster and took revenge. And after watching it, its really better than my expectation, a really wholesome movie, it’ll make any grown man cry

Omg, this was an amazing recap of storyline,this poor child has been through so much in her short time in life,to lose ur only family,an loving grandmother/mother brought me to 😭 and how a total stranger came into her life and loved and protected her the best way he know how ,awesome, awesome 🎉🎉the 2 learned how to love and protected each other❤❤❤,he is the best father possible 🙆, and too want to marry anyone to keep her with him, they needed each other 😊😊he may not be biological but he's dam close to it.This was a new cast and crew members who had good acting skills and chemistry that became natural.Thank you and my rating is a A+++😊

THIS IS SO WELL PUT TOGETHER OH MY GOD I just can’t believe it, goofy scenes coupled in with established conflicts between characters that feel real. Each and one of them all have flaws that make them human, and the scenes are so damn impactful when they want to be. I’m definitely going to watch this movie when I can.

I mean it was a lot to take in that a woman suddenly appeared and claim to be her mother. She was in jail and probably waited so she could reunite with her the whole time. But her mother was willing to give the little girl back to Sam. But in the end, all five of them are together and happy.
