Today we are dragging a 1970 Chevy C10 from it's grave where it has rested for 10 years. This truck started out as a father son project that never got off the ground and has been sitting in a state of disrepair and neglect for YEARS. It has a lot of high points and a lot of low points. Follow along as we strive to give this old girl another lease on life. This is a revival! Will it start?

Reminds me of my dad's 69 Jimmy with 307 4 speed he bought from the State after he retired, it sat for like 10 years, just needed a battery and gasoline, few vacuum hoses and yes a starter!

disconnect the fuel line before turning it over , get a line from a clean source of fuel to the fuel pump, then disconnect line to carb , get it to turn over and see if pump works, if clean fuel , add a filter before and after pump , remove and clean tank , clean lines too

Or do it the right way and see if it'll run on the panther piss in the tank? 🤣 Fear not, I disconnected the carb before if pumped any of that crap up into it. Thanks for watching!

Like the MAG wheels, got set on my bronco, weather is almost nice enough go shine on her, never mind the demolished door post wrinkled quarter, but the wheels be shinny. Well lets see what comes of the "Yellow Submarine" What I called 72 Centurion Buick Convertible man I miss her. First Item in LMC online order Gas Tank.... Look Like She's Been Tuned on, she might be a runner. Maybeeeee.

I do believe I'm gonna "borrow" the good tank out of the C20. Probably the seat too. I'd like to get this one on the road for summer. I don't know what it is about this old girl but I really like it. Get on out there and shine up on that bronco. Then trade it for a blazer. Lol. I kid I kid! Broncos are actually pretty sweet rides. Thanks for watching!

Nice truck! You are inspiring me to turn wrenches on my 72 k10. Its due for a brake booster and swap out door locks and ignition to the same key. I've never had a door key and always worried the kid would lock me out

I actually enjoy ongoing friendships with several people who have bought vehicles from me in the past and like to see what they do with them. Had two pickled rats in my 68' c10 gas tank.... no kidding, had to get a used tank and replace it!

Wow that's gross. Lol. I've since discovered it's got pin holes in the tank. It's no longer mated with the truck. Lol. It's got other issues too like needing a carb rebuild and the carrier bearing is exploded. One thing at a time though and we'll get there. Thanks for watching!

@@MyLegacyGarage Oh yeah those rats bounced like rubber when they came out, I had to toss that tank. I replaced the carrier bearing on my 65' GMC last year, may want to do the U-joints at the same time and check your trans mount. Anticipating a good build on your truck, it'll be nice!

I feel your pain on this one! Recently picked up an 82 f250 utility truck. Was taking the carb off and well the fuel line to the second tank..... just fell right out of the truck

Not half bad. A stuck bendix is no biggie. Spray it, bash it, remove it, replace it... Another reason to like straight 6s. Access...

It needs the interior put back together after I tore it apart it apart to straighten up the rust issues a bit. The fuel tank has pin holes in it. Also needs a carb rebuild and the carrier bearing is exploded. 🤣 One thing at a time and it'll get there. Thanks for watching!

It still does it from time to time. Sooner or later I'm gonna have to actually put a new starter in it. Probably in a parking lot somewhere where I shut it off and it won't start again. 🤣 Thanks for watching!

The lemon colored truck turns out to not be a lemon, who'd'ah thunk? I'm gonna be looking for another beater project soon as my Stimulus shows up and I save a bit on top. Unfortunately, body work ain't my forte, soooo, I gotta find something solid and hope it runs well enough to make it home. I want something with a V8 again, something to tinker on... That isn't a Ford... Had a ton of old GM's, a couple old Dodge trucks, and the ONE old Ford I own would not come back to life no matter what I did.

To buy a solid drivable one isn't cheap. They are easy to work on though. Don't be scared to get one that needs a little love and fix it up. Thanks for watching!
