Welcome back Alec, wondered where you'd got to! Really nice place in fairly good nick, shame about the vandalism but not too extreme, great features throughout.
Gorgeous place! Too bad the idiots came smashing things and spraying with their stupid paint. I hope it can be sealed up properly against break-ins and the weather!
What an IGNORANT remark. You clearly do not have any knowledge at all about kids in care. Many of the old children's homes were fairly large houses and most looked alright from the outside. But what sometimes went on INSIDE these places, was certainly not a akin to a posh lifestyle, or the trauma that many care residents endured during their young lives outside of the homes as well. It saddens me that there is still so much ignorance regarding children in care, and even still today a stigma surrounding people who are or were in the care system.
@@pruehalliwell2497exactly and like this fool who calls this a kid's home with bar's on the windows,This was a correctional facility not a orphanage who's only crime parents who didn't want them
I'd normally love this type of house but I'm imagining Paedo Staff so vividly, with my minds eye seeing an effeminate man who used to work here and who had authority over the children. Children would have been at the mercy of the Staff, I can imagine a newly arrived child crying and wanting to go home. It may have been a lovely place with none of that kind of thing, it's just that according to reports on these places there were always rotten predators and abusers in control.
And you are pretty much correct, Not all was above board, From wealthy members of the public arranging a holiday in France for the orphans in a different orphanage in England to the social workers removing orphans and replacing them with their own offspring to enjoy a free holiday arranged for the orphans, Children in the "care" not all the social workers were creeps and some of the house mother's weren't to bad,But they are being paid to look after Children whose parents didn't want them
@@Johnketes54 Thanks for your reply and I'm sorry to hear that there were some corrupt Staff there as well as the usual creeps who manage to get jobs in these places or some form of access. I hope the thieves who cheated the children out of their holiday get the karma they deserve for doing such a mean thing. As for their parents not wanting them, that's sad and I know the feeling because my mother didn't want me at times. She was going through a black depression due to having being physically and sexually abused when she was a child. I suspect that's how it may have been for the parents of the innocent children who were put in that Care home. Thank God there were some decent Staff there to care for them.
I'm sorry to hear your accounts from care homes. I'm sorry to say you are uncovering just a fraction of what is a HUGE systemic/institutional problem. I cannot say too much here or it'll just get blocked, and of course I do not know what you know, but the institutions involved are wide spread. MILLIONS of children are disappearing globally each year. Key figures are involved, some house hold names. ALL the major institutions. Entertainment. Politics. Monarchies. Judiciary. Education. Religion. I'm sorry, this situation is not good. Our children connect all of these institutions together. They are the 'play things' of the elite. This topic will be the key to their fall. Just to be clear, I have no direct knowledge of any of this (although I was mentally abused as a child), but from what I've seen from others research over maybe 5-6 years on this topic, this is the big one. Search for 'red shoe symbolism', you'll know it when you find it. Prepare yourselves because we are ALL going to hear about this either way.
