Hi Guys,
Join me as I explore the abandoned drag racing strip at Long Marston Airfield, climb aboard a derelict Shackleton aeroplane, then get kicked out by security
( all before breakfast )

How eerie, probably what the planet will look like after some type of life ending disaster. Loved seeing the entire old airplane, inside & out!

Thanks Kim in Nature! I had fun exploring this one. I'm pretty sure the plane has been dismantled for scrap so I'm quite lucky I got to see it when I did. P>S> I'll be checking out your content too! 👍

I went there when there was still racing me my mum and dad went it was so fun wish it was still able to race cars. It brings back,alot of memories.

@@stuierich it's so sad they closed it some good memories all ways remember seeing the aeroplanes and wondering how they got there I was only about 6 when I last went

I did run forward a bit to see inside the old lady. Flew in one of those back in the 70s with air cadets

it would have been great to see her saved Chris! props for being a pilot and getting the chance to fly the Shackleton, to fly anything is a dream for me.

save long marston dragway please f went there as a kid and it was one of my best memories from my childhood!

I just went here. The security is extremely tight now, 3-4 vans patrolling the strip alone

Hi ComoHarryPlayz - I went really early on a Sunday morning, it was quite at first but later saw two vans patrolling! I hope you got some good footage or photos anyway. Did you manage to avoid them?

Its tragic. The blood, sweat and tears that went into the track over the years. Constantly beaten down by the parish council, they never stood a chance in the end. And that Shackleton? wow

That would have been amazing, but the last time I checked it was being dismantled for scrap metal -

I know Richard, it's been completely trashed! It looks like all the engines had been removed ( including the two jets ) hopefully they went to a good home. Thanks for commenting!

I think it was most famous for the bulldog bash and the 'run what ya brung' fun - and it will only get harder to keep the bulldog spirit alive.

@Yaniteddd 😂 how long ago was that? I went back there a few weeks ago, the Shackleton has long gone - apparently a volunteer group in Cornwall are restoring it. Nothing else had changed that much other than you can easily stroll onto the drag strip - no security or anything 👍

@@Yaniteddd no way! that's crazy bro - it's literally a trashed old drag strip with a few containers scattered about, there's nothing left to secure. It's still a really cool explore though! did you film it?
