History
East Fortune is a small village in South-East Scotland, known for the airfield constructed in 1915 to help protect Britain against invading German Zeppelins during the WWI. In 1922 a hospital was founded on a nearby plot of land. Named The East Fortune Hospital it initially served as a tuberculosis sanatorium until WWII. The hospital then served mostly RAF soldiers until it was re-opened to the public after the war. Falling number of the tuberculosis cases in Scotland cause the hospital to be converted to a clinic for mentally handicapped in 1956. It served that purpose until 1997 when it was finally closed

Thanks, it felt completely different when it was raining. There is actually quite a bit still there considering it closed in 1995

Thanks Michèle, this place had a completely different feel this time as it was raining. I try an keep as much original audio as possible. I feel it adds more depth, Unless Lewis has crashed into something 😂.

Thanks Alan, I think places like this get left because it's cheaper just to leave them than deal with potential asbestos issues.

Looks like it’s been abandoned for some time Rob. Glad you got lots to look at. To think people lived and died in those rooms. Seeing all those proms gives you a reminder of poor little children. Nice explore mate

Thanks Jay, it had many uses over the years but it was mainly used for kids with mental problems then eventually adults as well. I think it closed around 94/95. Considering the age its still fairly un touched and nature fully taken over. Thanks for watching 🙂

@@AdventuresWithJay yea, there is also no where to park and locals usually report odd cars parked for a while. As for the site there is quite a few dog walkers that go around 😁

Not really, it's more of vibes I feel, when I was there first time it was sunny and everything felt calm. When I went back this time I didn't fancy going back into the doctors house. It felt like an energy force pushing me away. There have been a few siteings of ghosts around it. Thanks for watching an I'm pleased you enjoyed it 🙂
