Remnants of a long abandoned fish factory sit in ruins as nature slowly reclaims the land on which it sits. Navigational aids wildlife refuge are the only two uses of these structures today, boaters can clearly recognize the rusty water tower that still stands tall, for now. While unclear exactly when these buildings were erected, there are deeds dating back to 1902 in which 'Fish Oil Works' is listed as the property owner. The property has been abandoned thanks to the collapse of the local fishery of the early 1970s.
