The tale of an abandoned chateau sat in the heart of the Limousin in the center of France, the beautiful if somewhat unknown Chateau de Bagnac, there had been a castle here on this site for over 600 years, the one here today is a just a little more than 100 years old but here sits a chateau in ruin facing no grand future restoration, no one to hear its plea for help, in fact its only grandeur may be this video showing its decay as mother nature takes a hold once more.

In your painstakingly beautiful film you have accomplished much '; you have made what once was come alive. even in an advanced stage of ruin. Alas the Chateau de Bagnac is not alone-she is yours, your love for her has made it so. Thanks for your beautiful work.

Totally, as sad as it seems, still has a bit of magic, how cool would it be to find photos from late 1800s to early 1900s FURNISHED !

Who owns the chateau now? Isn't there anything you could do to bring attention to this place and it's need for restoration? I wonder how much worse it has gotten from the time of this video? Questions I'm sure we would all love to know the answers to. Hopefully you would have something encouraging to tell us at this time. I sure hope so as it's such a beautiful place.

This makes me feel really sad! This chateau is about 10 minutes from our house in France , you can't get near to it now . I wish someone would restore it to its former glory it's so beautiful.

I am thinking that at least parts of these old buildings could be salvaged before being left to be destroyed by the elements.

if i had the money yes i would love to restore this beauty, so sad it hurt s me to see these things fall in ruins but then again its sad to watch people get old and die too.

The sobering and sad reality is that these ancient grand ruins remind us of the fact that we too will fall into ruin and go neglected into our fate and nobody will be able to do anything about it either !

I had to stop repeatedly because you shot this way too fast it's too hard to focus in on any one shot. Beautiful place, fracturing almost everywhere. The stained-glass is the only thing that impressed me. The earth is taking it back it's comical how there's so much growth inside of it. Thank you for the upload. 🏰
