Abandoned Glendale Steps in Akron, Ohio is like stepping back in time

Akron's Glendale Steps, located along Glendale Avenue in downtown Akron, are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places so I decided to check them out. They are really impressive featuring some spectacular stonework. If you haven't seen them before NOW is the time to see them!

The Glendale Cemetery is as amazing as that staircase. The layout of the Cemetery is huge and quite a site to behold

I lived in Cuyahoga Falls for 25 years, and never came across this. Neat looking though, I hope they do something new with it like a park with updated landscaping.

Reminds me of the movie John Wick 4 these are cooler and more sinister looking steps they should have filmed it there

Used to walk those steps back in the late 70s early 80s when I lived on West Hill. Loved them when they were overgrown. They have recently been landscaped, but unfortunately 90% of what was planted is both non-native and invasive. :(

Clean it , sandblast that magnificent stone work back to its original glory. And my guess is that sealed off doorway leads into a maintenance storage room . The place is cool though dilapidated. Still clinging to the hope of restoration.
