Abandoned Harbour is (NO LONGER) the worst highlight of 2024 [FE2]

i have not felt any motivation to play this map because i don't see crazy+ highlights worth beating anymore, the badge does not seem really worth it. fe2 overall has started to feel a bit too dry lately and i hope some new stuff comes in other than highlights for fe2 soon.

Its still a march of 2024 year and we have already the worst highlighted map in 2024💀

didn't like the map at first, but once you beat it, it becomes very replayable and enjoyable. Now I love this map and happy to see it is here to stay

The only things i hate about the map is the lag and that one stupidly long wrap around that's really annoying, otherwise tbh i really like this map and i think its a nice crazy+ map, also tbh i mean you can say this is the worst highlight if that's what you think but if you think about it we have gotten maps like spring valley or Maltaris valley that are just terrible or even abandoned junkyard which had stupidly controversial gameplay but i mean opinions i guess.

AH was fun for me. I had a good time practicing it and managed to beat it first attempt in a pro server after practice. Might just be luck talking though. I do hate the pipe variant though. The left variant makes the first half significantly slower which could be a run killer.

Personally I love ah there’s only really one button people are lazy on and it’s the 3rd

I mean the map is good it’s just the sightread ability is the thing making the map a crazy+ but even then its not that bad

I semi-agree with AH being… odd to say the least. But it still has some positives. Like semi-fun gameplay, good ost, the shaking you get when you are at the final stretch, the emotional damage when you die at the last jump, the tears you shed when you fail to complete the map solo… yeah, fun map :D

i feel like we feel thsi way is because sub zerosphere was so great and amazing ( should of been perm ) that it kept our hopes up for other great crazy+ maps

imo this is one of the most fun highlights, maybe im just in a skill state where i cant tell the difference but idk (not trying to "flex" my skill btw)

ok, I don't usually hate on maps because of my map making skills but I'll have to agree with you on the gameplay. For me, some parts of it are pretty good but it's mostly meh. I haven't died to the rng jumps yet but it must suck dying to something out of control

and lets not forget, that if you are the button presser then you have a really slight chance of beating this map, but if you aren't and you wait for other people to do it, then you have just a little bit more of a chance to beat the map.

I dont exactly understand the part where you mentioned the ost, which is made by Kozin. Did you originally think it was made by lux or?

you forgot to mention how stupidly long the jump at 3:13 is also rustic jungle is fun if ur good at longjumps but yeah this map feels like it lacks detail and still manages to have awkward gameplay (mainly the rotated pipes) also abandoned junkyard is infinitely worse gameplay-wise that was 100% worst highlight of the year not this

idk man, the whole map is just a speedrun course which i prefer much more over longjumps of RJ and AJ, although to be fair, AH is the only official crazy+ i ever beaten lol.

some jumps are kinda impossible for me in my opinion. i wouldn't say its FULLY bad, but some jumps are odd. the gameplay is simple and fun, good ost..but i can barely see it, might be my monitor brightness >~>

I personally disagree, other than the first pipe variant, (cause I don’t really see the point of it) I love the music, the gameplay, and the design of it, and no jump to me feels RNG cause I’ve never slipped off the pipes or anything, you’re likely just jumping too early. I think it’s just cause of my preference of fast maps, but you should definitely start taking some faster routes, especially if you’re solo on the map. I’d give it a 9/10

0:16 i literally never failed that jump to slope physics seems like a skill issue tbh (the ending variant does suck ass though)

The gameplay looks fine, if the jumps were easier to do and the ziplines shouldnt go down imo

In my opinion, this map is absolutely good. The details are perfect, gameplay is simple and its sightreadable. I dont get the people in the comments saying this map isnt sightreadable. The map also aint the worst highlight of 2024. IMO All of them are good but I find the worst one out of all the 24 we got is OOaCC or Spring Valley. They aren't fun at all. But this map brings ALOT of intense and fun moments for me. I had fun beating the map alot. I beat it like 20+ times. Also 0:15 feels like a major skill issue. The jump aint hard at all, the easiest I could say and I NEVER died to it. Not even ONCE. The RNG stuff isnt really true, its just the end and the pipe jump variant at the start which isnt even bad, it just wastes ALOT of time. (The one before the 3rd button) Also being "extremely lucky" to be early.. Serious skill issue since you can get pretty early in both variants, solo or not. 1:17 is the only thing I agree with but I beat it SOLO with it being recorded by a friend who spectated my whole run and completion. Also Maxiskips still produces banger maps lol. Arched Deluge is questionable though. This is probably my favourite Highlight Crazy+ of 2024 CURRENTLY though so I have to disagree by a HUGE mile. But I do respect your opinions, just wanted to give my whole long ass points LOL.

I didn’t really see much wrong with AH, cause I progressed pretty quickly, but I do agree that some of the parts are a little inconsistent. It might just be first crazy+ bias but who knows lol

this definitely isn't the absolute worst highlight even when it comes to gameplay (it's at least fair when corner cutting), and the deco is really well done, though i will say its on the weaker side of highlights for me

This is just a skill issue video ngl, but AJ is worse (At least the old one didn't suck ass that much lol) I havent beaten this map yet, is very exciting to do though but I keep choking, the music is 🔥 Also, good luck for mobile players to attempt and beat this map lol [Including myself] Edit: As of Tuesday March 19, 2024. I have beaten AH on mobile!

I knew I wasn't the only one who hated it it's just unfun for me constant head hitters unfair gameplay bad button placements just everything's unfair in general I know crazy+ maps need to be hard but still! Spawn locations seem to guarantee most people living in 90% of crazy+ maps it really sucks that all everyone plays is this shitty excuse for gameplay
