Robby, if you need to work in an area like that again we would take a mask and put Vicks vaporub on the inside. Trust me I have been and seen things far far badder that that Van or truck.
😮I I would love to have I'm disabled and in the next month also I am leaving the hospital where I have lived for the last two years unfortunately I lost my old car this would really put me back on the rood 🎉 only downside is I live in the UK would you be able to ship it out to please I would be most grateful thank you Darren😊😊😂❤❤❤😅😅😅😊😊😊 19:39
Donate it to a family that needs it. Ive given several vehicles away like that. Best feeling you can get is by helping someone who really needs it and appreciates it.
I would love to have that s10. My wife and i share a vehicle. I paint houses and she drops me off in the morning with all my way s supplies. A lot of times i can't get there until late morning because of it.
I know this is a long shot but my family could very much use that van. We have two girls 3 and under and just found today we have another on the way. I am currently the only one working with very little in savings. We only have a 2007 chevy malibu that we use to get the girls around but it's too small for my wife and I plus 3 car seats. We were actually looking at cars today but can't really afford anything that's not a total clunker. It would be a huge blessing to our family if we could win that van. I'm sure it will end up going to someone else but I figured I would try. Thank you Robby for everything you do, I love you videos! Keep doing what you're doing!
Since it didn’t have seats you could make an accessible van with ramp and give it to someone who is handicapped. I know a couple who would be blessed to have a van with accessible ramp. Robby and his team are the best.
@@cryscastillo07That is a very serious modification to do to a van! I have a 2001 town and country setup with the ramp that comes out of the side, and it works great for me in my wheelchair! ♿️ The lady I bought it from said they bought the van new for almost 50k, and they sent it off for modification and equipped it with hand controls and a kneeling system to suck down the suspension to lower the grade for the ramp. She said it was over 30k for modifications back in 2001! They cut the whole floor out, and extend the body like 8-10 inches to give it head room inside and raise the suspension to accommodate it. I was very blessed for her to give me such a great deal on it!
@dalestapley9323 “obviously” you didn’t watch it because at 15:03 it’s obvious there is only 3 seats and he clearly states he’s going to have to buy seats.
ive got family out in the area that are in desperate need of a vehicle, might be a shot in the dark but you never know, currently going through some rough patches living in tents and hotels, it would be a great relief for them to get a van like that, especially since the rusted junk of a tuck they had just blew a shock and nearly took the support frame with it., been watching you and your group(Matt, Fabrats) for quite some time now, started with the golden nugget and stuck with ever since.
Hey Robby Layton! The previous owner probably had issues with mental health so it may be appropriate to check with any local mental health charities to see if they know of someone who will benefit from that van! I battled depression for the first half of my life but have successfully turned my situation around! Thanks to all of you for the nice videos! Ride ride ride!
It's so heartwarming to see Fred being repaired and used. He deserves an awesome paint job. Give the car to someone who really needs it. You guys are awesome. That S-10 would be a good shop car. Small and easy to maneuver and get around in for quick trips.
Love this video. My husband was a general contractor and had to do that same thing on fire jobs sometimes. We love your idea of cleaning up and donating it to a needy family that is a great idea especially with Christmas presents too. 🎁❤️
Great off beat episode and potential plan. There is no bad time for thoughtfulness and generosity. Hopefully you all will be able to follow through with the boss's idea of a Christmas gift filled give away to a local family in need. Y'all rock!👍👍
If you guys come across of a 2019-2023 Ford Ranger supercrew with FX4, please let me know, I am looking for this dream truck. I am Deaf and Blind on my right side and wear cochlear implant on my left ear and wear eye glasses and on Social security disability and I am driving a 2002 Ford Ranger supercab with 159,000 miles
It’s nice to see you giving back . With this economy and the extreme cost of everything I’m sure this van would surely help a family out there . And I can’t wait to see what you do to the S10 I wouldn’t mind having that .
No, no, don't trust your own experiences. CNN and the New York Times says everything is absolutely fine. The White House said Thanksgiving was cheaper this year than last. All I can do is hope for a warmer Winter so people don't freeze to death or go broke trying to heat their homes.
Wow, If y'all are considering donating the van to a needy family, I know of a family Dad, Mom 2 children under 3.5yrs on public assistance who desperately needs a vehicle to get to & from Dr's & the stores. Hit me up if interested and I'll drive them to Ephraim to meet with y'all. Peace be with y'all
I definitely think you should give the van to a needy family with Christmas presents inside. You would really help a family in need. There are so many families out there that don’t know how they are going to get by this holiday season. This generosity would make their day.
Always look forward to your videos. As you loaded the van it looked in good shape. I like the idea of cleaning the van fill it with gifts and bless some family
HOWA Home Alliance on Wheels and Bob Wells is a non-profit organization that helps people who are homeless and living in their vehicles. Sometimes a person's vehicle will die leaving them completely homeless. I'm sure they know someone who really needs a vehicle. ❤❤❤
I'm a 67 Y/O retired trucker/ Navy vet. I would love to have the van to transport my power chair. It does not have to be lowered like other handicap vans. I live in Bessemer City NC.
I could live in this thing…travel and be warm….just seeing the beginning of this video…..and the idea of giving this rig away is pretty darn sweet…it could be a game changer for the right person 👍👍👍
As a baby boomer raised by parents who when through serious hard times; I cringe when I see waste anywhere. Seeing those tools and salvageable parts go to the dump was hard to take. I get it I’m a dinosaur and efficiency has to override conservation sometimes. Still hurts.
I'm nearly 60 years old and I tracked my mileage and fuel purchases until I was 30. Why? .......I have no idea other than that's what my Dad did. Nothing wrong with maintenance records though. Someone is going to benefit from your generosity, and that is awesome!
Christmas givaway sounds like an awesome idea for the van! I am sure there is someone out there in need of something to get them around! You guys are awesome! Thank you for sharing this stinky (literally) video
My wife's niece has osteosarcoma and have been struggling pretty bad. They don't have a car at this moment and have to make several trips to Seattle children's hospital for treatment it would be huge for this little girl and her mother
Yes, please donate the van to someone in need. I know how much that will help someone who really needs it & will give them Hope for better things to come.
My daughter is a single mother her jeep quit running over a year ago. She could really use a break. She’s in Arizona if you want to add her to your list for the giveaway.
Definitely give the van to someone in need with some paid for insurance for a year and get the car liscensed for them and a couple gas cards that would be more practical and what they probably need and if they have children a nice gift you know if you give it to someone who is already in need it won't get it liscensed or insured and it will either set or get driven illegally and possibly cost them more money or worse you money. Your channel has come so far in such a short time I use to watch Fab Rats then MORR then you on Sunday Wed & Friday now I watch you 1st keep up the good work!
I cleanup hoarding conditions a couple times a year... this looks like someone who suffered from a lack of food at some point in their life. they are so afraid of getting to that same rock bottom in their life that they will store food in every empty spot of their homes or cars to avoid being in that place ever again.
@Robby Layton I know a family who's son has leukemia and has to drive long hours for his treatment. There car recently broke down, if your serious about helping a needy family lmk. They could really use the help especially with Christmas right around the corner. Love your videos and everything you do
I agree, give it to someone who is in a bad place in life. As long as it’s safe and somewhat reliable. If not, scrap it and donate the money to a food bank.
Robby, loading that van with presents and giving it to a needy family in the area is an AWESOME idea. I was shocked that you threw away everything that came out of the van. So much of that stuff, canning jars, canned goods, tools and the like could have been donated to your local charities. Habitat for humanity would have been happy to have all the hand tools and the local food shelf would have been a great place to donate the canned goods to. What probably caused the stench was the rotten perishable food items and they wouldn't affect the quality of any canned goods.
Right? I can't believe he threw away so many non-perishable goods like the canning jars, and tools! Who TF throws away tools? I can't imagine Top Ramen ever going bad, and canned food lasts much longer than the expiration date!
This will go down as my all time favorite episode 😛 I could actually experience the gagging smell 😝 I would suspect the entire interior will need to be stripted down to the headliner to remove the smell... I was literally lmao, what an awesome episode...so yeah, pack'er down with christmas gifts and find a deserving family...I love you guys 💖
That detailed log book was definitely an atribute of the pre boomer generation. My grandfather and grandmother used to have the same log books in their cars and had an entire fireproof safe just for the manuals to every single machine they ever owned and the log book for house repairs or upgrades. Now its the government that tracks all of that stuff for us so they can tell us if we're being good Americans or not. I'm gonna start getting the concrete footings poured before it gets too cold so I they can install that lift right away when I win it😂
Hillbilly calling in sick was probably the best idea anyone in the crew had today, lol.... I've got detailed gas logs of all my cars from day 1. Don't know how many times I've gone back and looked at the logs to see where I was. Doesn't take that much work, about 30 seconds after you fill up the tank... And just to let you know, I'd gladly accept that '65 Mustang for Christmas... I promise I'll take good care of it! 😁
X2! Just bought a new used truck. First thing I did was buy a new notebook for a log. Every fill up, oil change, any maintenance is logged. On my old truck when I switched tires I could see my fuel economy dropped.
Giving the van to a family in need, filled with presents would be awesome. Fits with one of the many community good deeds your business and family is known for doing. A pleasure to watch this off beat video, loved the hazmat walk on, the gagging had me in tears laughing.....sorry.🤣
I like the lovely Boss's idea i think giving the van away loaded with Christmas presents is a great idea that could definitely help a family for sure. One of the things I love about this RU-vid family is how everyone likes to reach out and help people is a great thing
Robby, Hillbilly, Colton, Steve and Demri The Real Boss of this channel...we would love to see you fix or replace everything the Hoarder Gold Van needs, detail it inside to make it look new, fill it full of a variety of nice presents and give it to a family or single Mom in need...but do it in total surprise fashion so they have NO IDEA you are coming with it. That would make a really cool, fun, charitable, giving-spirit, Christmas video that people would absolutely LOVE. ✝🎅🎁🎄☃✔🏁👍
That is so disgusting 🤢 and the amount of it, is disturbing and had there been more time to fill it all the way up it would have. Just think there's still a full day of detailing it, and don't forget to change the cabin filter, behind the glove box. But it will clean up, and tune ,and some Avalon King, and it will be a nice gift vehicle, like you were saying. Have a more fresher week and count your blessings, amen.
Raising my 5 yr old granddaughter ( I have been raising her since she was 15 months old and got Legal Guardianship August 2020 from the State ) with a lot of medical conditions ( ADD , ADHD , Sensory processing difficulty , Insomnia ,Autism , Speech ( delayed speech phonologic ) Therapy , Occupational therapy , Physical ( for her feet and legs from being in a car seat the first 6 months of her life and not having the time she needed to learn the basics rolling over and other stuff until she was 7 months old ) therapy, Neurology , Cardiology , Behavioral ( CMS/HCC ) ( Disorder of Dysregulated anger and aggression of early childhood ) Counseling , Developmental Delay ,Hyperopia of both eyes, Subjective visual disturbance of both eyes , Intauterine drug exposure ( before birth and after birth until 6 months of age parents blowing pot smoke in her face with other drugs and covering her up --- state took her at 6 months ) including a heart condition ( Bicuspid Aortic Valve with Dilated Ascending Aorta , Aortic Root Disease , FLNA of VUS gene Mutation. She is on heart medication , ADHD medications also. My little old suv ( 1996 Suzuki Sidekick ) keeps breaking down, and I don't have the money to keep fixing it , and she has so many appointments , I could use a decent vehicle that can get me and her to all of her appointments and therapies. Please consider us for this van , it would give us more room as she is growing , she has hard time sitting in her car seat in the middle of the suv with no leg room . With talking about getting a service dog for her , We will need the room for her and the dog and her medical supplies I can with us ( AED machine , LIfeVac choking device ) . God Bless what you are doing for a lucky person or family this Holiday .
Robbie, I had a 92 S10 4.3l V6 that gave me a solid 1/4M miles w/o any problems with the drivetrain. Keep that thing, it'll last you for years. As for that van?!? OMG that's a true gut-buster! lol
My two cents worth! I've been looking for a small truck like the S-10 but can't afford one at this time. HOWEVER, giving the van away is an excellent idea. If you could manage to get other businesses in the area to donate gifts for a family, then that van would be a tremendous blessing for a needy family, only problem is; would the people who get the van be able to pay license and insurance fees. God bless your giving heart Robby. I started watching your videos after initially thinking you should stick with body work. I was wrong, your content is; at worst; amazing. I say this because I used to love tinkering (fixing little dings and dents) on my cars, using as little bondo as possible. I'm in the process of watching the backlog of videos you've made. Be blessed, be safe, and be Utah's best.
FUEL MILEAGE BOOK ... I keep one for my vehicle to look for changes in mpg. But since my trans is now bad, I stopped because I no longer can leave town. I no longer fill it up, but just put what I need. A Fuel Mileage Book is a smart thing to do and takes just a minute or two to fill out. And it's a bonus for when a vehicle is sold, giving it a little history as you would a repair book.
I am a 4 war veteran, Cold War, Desrt Storm Iraq and Afghanistan. I am wheelchair bound from a stroke and am in need of a van for my wheelchair so I can get to my numerous doctor's appointments. Unfortunately I need to equip it with a ramp to load my power chair, The Veterans Administration pays for that through a Hista Grant, but I need a van to convert. I live in Michigan and have a car I could trade for it, APontiac G6 2009 with an Eibach suspension that needs a quick paint job and some body work. It would make a great project for your shop and another give away car. I am willing to trade.
Give it away to a needy family. If you know the family you may select a few Christmas gifts. You don't have to overdo it but be generous. I haven't said hi to the Boss for a while, so Hi Boss. Haven't said anything to Hillbilly who is loosing ground with Robby. Say Robby, are you working on replacing Hillbilly? Sure seems like you have a new daddy's boy. Do you ever hear from Dinner? I don't think he left on the best of terms but he was in love. I lived in Fred's home town for forty years. Castle Rock, Colorado. 80104. The town was so small when we moved there if someone gave you a phone number they only gave you four numbers. The whole town prefix was " 688" so you only needed the last four. It took a while to get use to the just four numbers. We had the same number for forty years.
A TARP on the ground as you pulled from the van would have been a HUGE HELP! ... So funny to see you all react to the smell. I'm in need of auto repair myself for my 05' Honda Pilot, need help.
TIME for a Yard Sale!!!!! OH and BE careful what you throw away! I horde stuff too and among the things I have are hidden a number of 14K GOLD coins and a few emeralds and rubies!
Robby, why are you surprised that someone would track his mileage and repairs? I've done that with every vehicle I've owned. Until I got a Palm Pilot, (when I had a car maintenance application), I had a little notebook just like that guy had.
Someone complained about you saying 'Literally", but didn't say anything about you constantly screwing up the order of names? You always say "Me and Hillbilly" or "Me and the Boss", etc. The rule is that you list yourself last. My brother and I like your videos, but cringe when you say "Me and ______" Another way to think about it is get rid of the other names and see how it sounds. Take 'Me and Hillbilly went to Maverick", get rid of Hillbilly and you have "Me went to Maverick". Anyway, me done with this rant now. I literally don't think it will make any difference.
My son is disabled and in a wheelchair. Wheelchair vans are very expensive. Please please Please, donate that van to a wheelchair outfitter to have it converted for a wheelchair and give away to a disabled person or family in need. That would be AWESOME! And you won’t have to buy seats for it. WIN WIN!
I say give it to someone in as much need as I am...I'm a disabled 54 year old grandfather driving a 2003 Chevy Blazer that's totally rusted, the frame is so bad it's about to break, and i mean break in a very bad spot, probably wreck me pretty bad...dang sure will never pass safety inspection again, had to get it illegally inspected now for the past three years, but I have no choice, it's all I have, dang sure can't afford to buy something, especially living on disability. So yes, give it to someone in desperate need...there are plenty of people out here that could use a break, we pray daily faithfully, waiting for it to be heard 😔 But faith and hope are running very very low. Christmas spirit is at rock bottom. Sad I can't even afford to get my grandchildren anything for christmas, so find someone that's in true need, and give them and I a little faith that people do still care.
A Chrysler minivan with 160,000 miles can be one of those things where you question if giving it to a needy person is good or bad. It could be nearing the end of life of many components and turn into a money pit. In my area, they usually rust out so the front struts end up pushing through the hood. They might not rust there but there are so many little things that can add up. A blower motor, heater core, radiator, cooling fans, water pump, alternator, fuel pump, the infamous FICM, fuel injectors, ECM, window regulators, sensors etc.
Wish I could get it lol I have a 2011 that had a oil filter adapter problem. Now that I replaced that it’s still gushing oil. Idk what’s wrong with it 😢 and that would be a huge blessing. We have 4 kids and I lost my job February 8th of this year
Great idea, giving the van away to a family. Also a good idea to fill the van with x-mas gifts. Cool project for the shop. Maybe we(your viewers) could help donate to the cause. Love your videos, keep up the good deeds.
One the book for mileage the previous owner was also keeping track of how many miles per gallon (you can do the math & figure out the $ you burn in fuel); I even do it with my 84 Chevy Suburban & I learned this from my dad as well.
That S10 would be a great hit rid shop truck. I've always wanted to V8 conversion an extra cab with a cowl hood and drop it on skinnies in the front and 28×10.5's on 15 in 14 wide rears and tubs!
Hi there Robby Layton team. I'm Rick and I would like to trade you my 2003 for the S10. I have rear end for a 91 Iroq Camaro do you think a could put it in the S10?
Hey Boss! I love the idea of presents in the van! Awesome! How about asking Balsam Hill to sponsor a 7 foot pre-lit faux Christmas tree and tie that box on the top of the mini-van??? Tree with presents?? Can't go wrong girl!
My friend could really REALLY use this van. She has 2 kids, she bought a murano but got took for. They didn't give her smog and when she did it, it didn't pass it needs new catalytic converters. Now shes out like 5k and hasnt driven it
As an old Haz Mat Tech, I started laughing when I saw those cartridge type Air-Purifying respirators. Because they typically wont stop odors from getting to you
Uh, you have to shave for the mask to work! You should feel bad throwing away canning jars that are brand new! Why TF are you throwing away non perishable goods? I hope someone picks the good stuff out at the dump!
Connect with Dave's Auto Center. He reached out about needing a family with a developmental delayed child in need of help with a vehicle. He found a family to help, but their van is too far gone to fix, so he reached out about finding a fresh slate. He's in Centerville, and also has a channel. (Maybe a collaboration?) I have a small shop in Mt Pleasant, and am also willing to donate time.
I'm not just asking for the van. I'm from Virginia I'm 19 andI've been looking for a first car for months in my price range. It's not easy when you only make 300 dollars a week and you have to provide for two people and help out your grandma. I have to pay for rides to work this van would help me so much with getting to work. I would be able to work more days and longer hours to make more to make ends meet.
