Also, Palatka’s Historian, Larry Beaton, wanted to know if there are photos of the house or of Marcus Loeb or his family that he could use…for presentation purposes and further documentation of the town’s history. @@LoebFamily01 Hi Joe, I spoke with Larry a little while ago. He’s neck deep in research for the city. He said he does not have any photos of the Loeb family or home from the turn of the century. However, he wanted to know if you had any photos of the home from around 1900? Also, is it a problem if either one of us uses photos of Marcus or Lena Loeb for future presentations, RU-vid, etc. I don’t see where I would need them but one never knows and now that I have the opportunity, I thought I would ask. Thanks

I am enjoying all your videos and love history and historical homes. I also enjoy your bottle and metal detecting video. I follow a lot of chateau videos from France and heard on one of the videos that often on the kitchen fireplaces prior to marriage a husbands family would do half of the fireplace and the wife’s family would do the other half to join the families. That is a beautiful chandeliers.

But I’m also a firm believer that when one gets a rare opportunity like this, they’re better seize it. I’m going to share your comment with Larry Beaton, historian in the video, to see if he’s ever heard of splitting the duties on fireplace design.
I'm glad the owner gave you the ok to film the interior of this home. I've been fascinated by it ever since I saw it the first time while driving around admiring Palatka's historic downtown. Is it the owner's intention to restore it? (I hope)
Hello Jaye, Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching. As I understand it, the owner plans to do a complete renovation. There was roof damage as a result of the last hurricane and that has yet to be settled. He hopes to move forward with the roof first and then go from there. He has the expertise and access to the right people. I hope it works out for him as it would be a beautiful finished product for the north historic district.
