Heartbreaking to see. My parents owned this beautiful building in the 70's/80's when it was in its prime. I grew up exploring it every day through a child's eyes. Amazing memories
Nikki and I nearly bricking ourselves when you opened the door! We were coming down the stairs thinking we could hear voices, then you opened the door and we nearly DIED. Great video. Shame the place has been trashed. We wanted to come earlier in the year but something called lockdown got in the way. Great to meet you guys!
aww thanks and yeah i got a shock to see someone else in there, i actually got busted in that same hotel last year so that was a return visit and glad i manged to finish it lol, Hope we didn't scare you guys too much yous did look a bit shaken up haha, yous should of stayed back for a group shot lol
Excellent explore, Alec. I thought I recognized the place, I'm a coach driver, and I had a coach party in the hotel for a high tea a good few years ago. I remember the food was delicious and the staff were excellent too. It's a shame that it's derelict now, but thanks for the great explore.
I have a JVC TV it's big and I don't know how old it is but it works fine and has great speakers. I bought it for $65. == way cheaper then the even small flat screens. The down side is that it weighs ALOT.
I drive past this place everyday n thought it wud be a great explore for you. It’s so sad to see the place like this, it wAs a beautiful hotel in its day n the food was great. Thanks for the explore 🤗💕
Ahhh, I remember this place well, especially the famous closet 😂🤣 and seeing the prior entryway. I’m glad you got to document this place prior to the fire and destruction from randoms. Thank you Alec, I enjoyed the revisit! 😂👍❤️😊. Great job! 😀 Stay safe and I hope you are well.
Hi Alec. Great place, glad you got to go back and finish exploring it. I could almost smell the foosty room and the pigeon crap, lol. I love watching your videos. Love and best wishes from Canada.
I don't understand why the satisfaction of smashing the place to bits 🙄🙄 the hotel is located in a fairly busy road , what could possibly be the reason to shut down? Great explore lads 👌👌
I have a feeling that you will spoilt for choice finding abandoned hotels and businesses over the next couple of years. This hotel didn't seem to have been in bad condition when it was abandoned, it is a shame that those who visited before you just set about vandalising the property. This would have been an ideal purchase for the homeless, such a shame that it was allowed to fall into the standard pigeon infested state of decay. Thanks Alec, often the explore channels bring more to the attention of the public than they realise.
I found this to be quite interesting, though it’s a shame people have to destroy everything they touch, it seems. The last gents rm, actually caught my eye, it may have smelled but I liked the design in there. Plus, was closest rm half way clean! Oh well, ty for the tour, quite pleasurable. Tc and stay safe always.
Hi Alec, wow what a shame. I bet it was a grand place in its day. We have Nestle here in the states, didnt really know they were world wide. They are in next to my town in Anderson, Indiana. Thanks for the beautiful explore, lol
Hi Alec! Glad to see you again. Really liked this tour. Bad fire. Is that the reason why it was abandoned? Cost too much to fix? I curse those stupid vandals. Thank you for the tour and take care.. Stay safe ok?
Gosh so sad to see it in that state, we spent our wedding night in the room at the very top of the hotel, up the narrow staircase. The room with the cupboard and the dead pigeons believe it or not was the bridal suite 👰🏼♀️ Also had many a Christmas lunch in that conservatory. Love your videos btw 🤘🏻
Wow such a shame this has been so badly vandalised I honestly can’t understand what they get out of doing this so sad ! That room with dead pigeons gave me the fear 🙈 thanks for sharing your explore Alec !
Wow nice explore Alex such a shame that the beautiful hotel is derelict but still amazing for urban explorers like you and the crew keep it up man with these epic finds 👍
Is this the same hotel where the copper opened the cupboard door only to see you and all the colour drained from his face and you could almost hear the sh1t rolling doon his trouser leg? lol
Love the pigeon and the photo of you 3 guys.😂 Awe just saw the 3 pigeons that were dead in that room. Poor things. That pigeon crap was disgusting!!🤢 Another picture 28:15 of the 3 of you looks great.😊 That was interesting. I think it’s the first one that I’ve seen that birds alive and dead were inside.
There's something special in the stillness portrait shots, find my self tripping it's psych art could I Please have a print if possible and the one from hotel think bearded chappie I loved that shot a million shots in one
@@ExploringwithAlec 😂 I only found out about your post as I was recognised and had to find it and laugh. Glad you got in again for a good nose. Heard of a couple of other great local explores.
A great explore, I like where you guys took your pictures. The staircases are still nice .some rooms look like they are being used.hope they save the French doors.👍👍💟👵🇺🇸
What a sad, sad sight to see a lovely old hotel / pub close down like that. The worst thing is the way interlopers get into the place and smash things up like buggery. Imagine having to leave those lovely carpets behind.....sad....Actually it should be against the law to shut down pubs...next thing you know the effing islamists have bought the place and turned it into a sodding mosque. Well, anyway that is what they do to pubs around Leicester..get em closed down by just sitting there never buying any drinks next they've forced the landlord to close it down. And within weeks the place has magically transformed into a poxy mosque.
It would be great to rewire all the electrics and put In Gas Central Heating redecorate all the rooms and put in brand new carpets and a brand new bathroom bath and Shower toilet all in one together but it take quite a lot work to re do up.
@@ExploringwithAlec that's alot of money. Plus having it rewired brand new Gas Central Heating Boiler new radiators and plumbing connections too and new carpets. Have you thought about people wanting to make donations and give money or set a Facebook page to raise money. Have you got any other ideas in mind or in the future or police donationing money from drugs back into the community for good courses.
my grandad used to take me and sister 4 coke and packet crisps here .every summer holidays. Bot 30 years ago. The couch a sat on in bar is still there. Wow They stayed along road. ☹️ a miss they times...
Sooo sad that it was sooo vandalized! Too bad that the salvageable furniture wasn’t donated to charity😔 Once was a very nice place! Thank you for sharing this wonderful property ❤️
Loved going here for a meal shut down in the crash was great hotel been to many a wedding in here shame its been demolished by the wasters xx good shoot Alex xx
Setting up a Facebook account that is one idea and requesting and asking people to donate some money towards to having that hotel done up and restored and get it up and ready to get all these homeless people off the streets. You could have a chat with your friends about all this could that work?
One other idea is type a formal letter to your MP about all this and ask if he could step in and help. about all this really indeed you could be able to have a normal meeting with him and come into talks with your MP and having discussions with the Council on all about this what they can really do to help you here Try that wait till you get a letter back this really could be the key.
Come in talks with the Council and the UK government over this. Because when people leave prison they will become homeless because it's really serious indeed.
