I was so close to visiting South Korea and Japan at one point. I'm a Motion Capture actor and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to work in Japan and visit South Korea.
I remember the first video of this island very well. This vid made me finally go there in 2018 and since then I regularly go to Japan to explore the beautiful abandoned places. thank you!
that is so true, I used to watch all those cats with that man, he has a heart of gold. God Bless Him.... I loved him so much, somebody had to care for those poor little cats.
Sad to see the cat likethis they are so beautiful .Steve you have a beautiful heart to feed them .Hope the cat get helps from Someone Soon . Thank you for sharing this small Island
Great video! The cats were so cute, poor kitties. It was so kind of you all to feed them. I hope they can get rescued by a charity. ❤ Loving your adventures in Japan 😊
@@nickygreene4276 I am very aware of that!!! I use to feed about 100 of them at a park close to my home! BUT Hurricane Katrina did away with 90% of them!! I myself had 17 cats 🐈 that most were feral. But I gave them names and they knew their names! But like the ones in the park also perished in Katrina!! Along with my home with 35 feet of water 💧!!!!
This is interesting and all, but I feel sorrow looking at all those photo albums left behind.😕 What happened to leave that all behind…? And the poor cats.🥺
Steve, my heart goes to those abandoned cats. I am a mother cat of four and I hope i can go visit them one day. But if i were you, go back in there just for cats. feed them, and investigate further for them coz i have searched YT about cats in ikishima and most of their vids have millions and millions of views coz there are a lot of cat lovers out there. The title of your vid should be about cat so it will feed to account of cat lovers. Just my take -- help the cats and the cats will help u. 🐅🐆🐈🐯🐱🐾😻😻😻
I know this is off what this is about, but I am still wondering if the man is still feeding the cats after the Fukushima earthquake. That was one of the best videos I have I've found. God Bless Him....I miss him.
Great video Steve really enjoyed this, and great history too, thanks for sharing 👍 can't wait to see more of the Japan series hope yr having a great time with the boys x 👍 stay safe 👍💖
My dad always talks about imha jihma when we have our daughter and dad talks and convos.its neat and cool to actually see it thru your video thanks much apprication for the work you've put in to making it!
Great video Steve thanks for sharing your trip to Japan. Great to see Josh Dan and Dave with you on the trip hope you guys all got some good footage and a great time! 😂❤ x
Surely there are pet rescues in Japan. Then the cats that are infected would get the attention that they need. Its really sad to see! 😢 It's too bad that out of the few people remaining on the island don't try find an animal rescue for all those cats that were unfortunately abandoned due to the restraunt owner passing away! Thank you Steve for feeding the kitties what you had!! You have a big, kind, & gentle heart!! ❤ 😊
This was an incredible experience Steve. So awesome and fascinating. Poor kitties, i hope they get treated with whatever they have. What a sight. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I hope the mama cat with kittens at the hospital will be OK. Hopefully they will get out before the building collapses or gets torn down. 😢😢😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈
I remember when you first drop that video. I remember when your name used to be exploring with Steve before you changed it to Steve Ronan. I was here when you had your OG RU-vid name.
Awesome video of the island, but seeing all the cats in the shape they were in made me really sad. Why did sooooo many cats have most or all of their tails missing? I wish I could donate somewhere that had people feeding and taking care of the cats.
it's so beautiful. I wonder why it's so beautiful. They could've made that a retirement place for the elderly. I think with their brains, they can still turn that place into a beautiful small town
I love this video and I have to really commend you for feeding the cats. That's so sweet of all of you. And when u said we should of gotten cat food...thoughtful of animals I notice you always are...as Angelo is too. Be safe love from Arkansas
I absolutely love your videos and you really are my favorite urban explorer that takes their time to explain the true history of the places you visit and information that you dont know, you speculate and can wonder about the people that are no longer there. That whole town is just abandoned except for one or two people or families still living there in that eerie and empty place. Xan you imagine living in an apartment building and everybody else is gone, and tou are the only person left there for years! I think i would kind of slowly go nuts! I like being alone and crave not being around other people, but thats a little too weird, even for me! But the rent is goid! Lol! Thanks for the wonderful exploration of that neat old mining town that us no longer occupied. The cats are just one eerie example of what happens when nature takes back what once was its! That place is huge and that there are only a tiny bunch of peopke who still live there! Thanks Steve!
Hey Steve and Crew, i love watching your videos. My husband, kids, and I live down in Sasebo. Japan, and even down here we see so many stray cats everywhere. I love them all and wish I could save them, but we have signs posted to not feed the cats. How can you not when they are literally starving and begging for food. Japan does have a cat problem, but it surely makes it so difficult to not want to save them all. Fukaoka also has a lot of stray cats too even ones on cat island. Enjoy your adventures and your time in Japan. 🇯🇵❤
Time stamp 38:19, that is called a centrifuge and your right, it spins the blood to do two things, mix with another substance in the vile with it, or to separate the hemoglobin and blood cells for testing for like clotting factors or platelet counts.
Please someone over there near island please go help save those poor abandoned cats!!! 🙏 doesnt look like they would have much wild food to catch or fresh water to drink. Its so terrible to see these poor cats having to try survive
Steve this is so great! I've been a watching your videos and this one seems to touch your heart..great history and I like how this is preserved 'as is'..thanks ✌
I was lucky to come across one in the US. An elderly couple was down sizing and I bought it off of them at a yard sale. It was a gift to the wife for teaching English to Japanese ladies that came over with their husbands who worked at Honda. They pitched in to gift her the doll. I felt like I had to buy it because I'd be the only one who would appreciate it enough to keep it in good condition.
The left-behind photo albums saddened me. Wheverever these people are now, memories are the only thing that link them back to their root. There will be moments when they think of the past, and such photo albums will then be the only physical thing that they have for driving down the memory lane. You have a kind heart to put them in a shelf to reduce the damage from the elements to the albums.
